Daniel Garcia Comments on AEW Currently Being “On A Run Of Our Best AEW Collisions”
A recent episode of the In The Kliq podcast featured Daniel Garcia as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Garcia’s thoughts about his belief that AEW’s Collision series is currently on a fantastic run of shows and his storyline with Adam Cole being a reason for it.
“That match was a shock to me. I came to the back, and Tony was like, ‘Hey, you’re defending your title.’ Because obviously, like, they announced it on TV. I don’t see that. I’m in the ring. Get to the back, and Tony’s like, ‘Hey, you’re defending your title against Adam Cole this weekend.’ Like, I wasn’t ready for that. Come on. I was very surprised. Adam Cole, me and him, have some built tension over the past couple weeks, I would say over the past four or five weeks. I think we’re on a great run of Collisions. Maybe our best run ever. I think a lot of that has to do with the tension that me and Adam Cole have built up. Whenever he’s in the ring with me, I see the way he looks at me, and those eyes can only mean one or two things. Either he’s got a crush on old DG, or he wants a shot at the TNT title. So, if he wants a shot at the TNT title, that’s what he’s going to get. We’re going to get it poppin’ this Saturday.”

As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Clark Connors is currently scheduled to be making a return to AEW for a run in the company.

AEW Roster Cuts & Departures Rumored for This March
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources stated that there might be some departures from AEW’s roster coming up this month.
Alvarez reported that this could be either talent being released and/or contracts expiring and AEW deciding to not renew them. Alvarez reported that the reason is likely due to AEW just having way too many talent currently under contract.
Alvarez also reported that he can comfortably say that Leyla Hirsch will not be the last talent leaving AEW in the next 30 days.
“I think that this will not be the last time you hear this story in the month of March. I have heard that there might be some departures coming up in March. Whether it’s people being released, people’s deals coming up and not being renewed. I think the fact of the matter is, they got way too many people under contract…
I think I can comfortably say she [Leyla Hirsch] will not be the last in the next 30 days.”
