Saturday’s AEW Collision show at the UM Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin featured Mercedes Mone, Athena, Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa, and Jamie Hayter all officially declaring themselves for this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

Athena Makes Surprise Appearance on Saturday’s AEW Collision Show
Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured current ROH Women’s World Champion Athena making a surprised appearance.
During the show, a video featuring a tweet sent by Athena was aired showing Athena standing outside Mercedes Mone’s dressing room and her saying she might stop by and say hi tonight.

Following Mone’s victory over Robyn Renegade, Tony Schiavone attempetd to interview Mone only for Mone to snatch the microphone away and after some words, she officially declared herself for this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament. Schiavone responded talking about Mone’s recent issues with Billie Starkz leading to Mone to interrupt him again and stated that Starkz sucks and questioned who trained her. This led to Athena’s music playing and her coming out to the ring and the two confronting each other.

This led to a brawl breaking out that ended with Mone escaping the ring and Athena holding up her ROH Women’s World title.

This was Athena’s first appearance in AEW since AEW x ROH Global Wars Australia event this past February and Battle of the Belts X show in April of 2024 for AEW-only show.
Adam Cole vs. Daniel Garcia for TNT Title Set for AEW Dynasty 2025
Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured one new match announced for the card of Dynasty 2025, which takes place on April 6th at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This new match announced was a TNT Championship match of Adam Cole vs. Daniel Garcia (c).
This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Garcia and Cole not being able to get the defintive win against each other in their previous two matchups for the title and the growing issues between the two. During tonight’s show, Cole and Garcia had a heated face-to-face promo segment that led to Garcia issuing a challenge for one last match between the two and this time no one allowed at ringside and no time-limit.
