LA Knight Wins #1 Contender’s Tournament for United States Title Shot

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured LA Knight defeating Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu in a Triple Threat match for the Finals of the one-night United States Championship #1 Contender tournament.

As a result of his victory, Knight will officially challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States title at a future show.

Wyatt Sicks Logo Glitches In After Alexa Bliss Attack on Roxanne Perez on Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured another Wyatt Sicks video glitch teaser for Alexa Bliss.

In recent weeks shows, Wyatt Sicks style glitches have appeared whenever Bliss has shown up since her return from injury to WWE.

Following Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, & Liv Morgan’s victory over Bayley, Naomi, & Jade Cargill, Perez’s victory celebration was quickly cut short by Bliss showing up from behind and laying her out with a Sister Abigail DDT. As Bliss smiled over what she did, the screen started to glitch and briefly flashed images of the door to the Firefly Fun House, Bliss during her time running Alexa’s Playground, and a group shot of the Wyatt Sicks.

The Rock Offers Cody Rhodes Several Gifts Including “Cody’s Soul” Weight Belt on Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured “The Final Boss” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson offering several gifts to current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to try to sway his decision to accept his offer to be his personal champion and own his soul.

During the show, two men in suits stopped Rhodes backstage and told him that he didn’t need to go to the regular locker room since he had a special one just for him as a gift from The Rock.

In a follow-up segment, this special locker room was revealed to contain a large catering area full of food including shrimp, deviled eggs, and a lot of bottles of wine.

In another follow-up segment, Michael Cole held an in-ring interview with Rhodes to discuss his thoughts about The Rock’s offer to him and brought up everything that The Rock was promising he could give him if he accepted. Cole was then interrupted by someone speaking in his ear piece saying that there was another gift for him, which was revealed to be a big red truck with the American Nightmare logo on it. This led to the big screen showing a black SUV arriving at an airport and The Rock stepping out.

The Rock proceeded to talk about him coming tomorrow to Elimination Chamber to find out Rhodes’ decision of a lifetime and how he knows Rhodes will do the right thing. After some more words, The Rock stated that he had another gift made for him and revealed it to be a weight belt with the words “Cody’s soul” and the date of June 11, 2015. The Rock stated that this was the date that Rhodes’ father Dusty passed away and told Rhodes that he loves him before boarding his plane as the show went off the air.
