Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens Unsanctioned Match Set for Elimination Chamber
Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina featured one new match announced for the card of Elimination Chamber 2025.
This new match announced was an Unsanctioned match of Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens.
This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Zayn and Owens’ bad blood issues with each other recently and Zayn wanting revenge from Owens’ Package Piledriver attack to him once he is medically cleared.
During tonight’s show, Zayn came out and talked about the personal history he has with Owens over the years. Zayn then talked about how there is not forgiving and forgetting this time over what Owens did to him a few weeks ago. Zayn stated that he won’t pretend that his neck is 100% but he knows he’s got enough in the tank for a fight. Zayn then issued a challenge to Owens for a fight in Toronto at Elimination Chamber 2025.
This led to RAW GM Adam Pearce coming out to interrupt and told Zayn that they have talked about this more than once and how Zayn has been given an answer more than once. Pearce stated that he told him no, the office has told him no, the board has told him no, and medical has told him no. Pearce then stated that Zayn is not medically cleared to compete and as much as he would love nothing more than to make it official, the answer is no.
This led to heated banter between Zayn and Pearce that ended with Pearce finally relenting but if Zayn wants the match that badly, then it will not be official, it is unsanctioned. Pearce then walked away and Zayn gave a pleased look over the news while rubbing his neck.
OWENS. ZAYN.
