Cody Rhodes Responds to The Rock’s Personal Champ & Soul Offer

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio featured current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes giving his response to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s offer from last week’s SmackDown show about wanting Rhodes to be his personal champion and own his soul.

During the show, Rhodes came out to the ring and talked about The Rock’s offer and asking for his soul. Rhodes stated that having grown up in this business, he can read between the lines and understand the offer that “The Final Boss” The Rock has made him. After some more words, Rhodes stated that this decision he has to make at Elimination Chamber doesn’t affect him alone. Rhodes proceeded to talk about his family, the Nightmare Factor and his students, and his late father Dusty.

Before Rhodes could respond, Seth Rollins’ music played to interrupt and he came out to the ring. Rollins grabbed a microphone and talked about how this is the first time they have been in the same ring together in almost a year and brought up WrestleMania 40. Rollins stated that he would love to look Cody in the eye and congratulate him on nearly a year as champion. Rollins then stated that he wants to be able to shake Cody’s hand and tell him he can not wait to face him at WrestleMania. Rollins then talked about The Rock coming back and recently asking for Rhodes to be his champion. Rollins stated that the fact you didn’t slap The Rock in the face on Friday is a slap in his face and to not make him regret everything he did to help Cody win that title. Rollins then questioned if Rhodes is doing this for bit parts in the Rock’s movies or if that title is weighing on you and being too much of a burden for you.

Rhodes responded talking about how he wishes this conversation was going in a different direction and how Rollins’ soul might already be compromised. Rhodes talked about how Rollins had hit him with a sledgehammer when he was about to go for surgery and his past betrayal of The Shield. Rhodes then brought up how Rollins was his “shield” at WrestleMania” and how he was his brother and partner. Rhodes then stated that Rollins helped him achieve his family’s biggest dream and called him the MVP of WrestleMania.

Rollins responded stating that he is not out here to judge Cody and after some more words, he told Rhodes to not make him hate him. Rollins stated that he is going to win Elimination Chamber and the man he wants to face at WrestleMania is not a soulless shell. Rollins stated that he wants the “man who came back to this company and beat him at Wrestlemania 38.  He wants to face the man who beat him with one arm at Hell in a Cell.  He wants to face the man he helped crown as champion at Wrestlemania.” Rollins then stated that he isn’t coming for Cody’s soul but he is coming for his title.

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez Wins WWE Women’s Tag Titles on Monday’s WWE RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defeating Naomi & Bianca Belair to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

This was Morgan and Raquel’s third Women’s Tag Team championship victory as a team in their WWE careers.

WWE World Tag Titles Match Announced for Next Week’s Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured one new match announced for the card of next week’s show on March 3rd at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.

This new match announced was a WWE World Tag Team Championship match of Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) vs. War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c).
