Injury Issues Reportedly Reason for Women’s Title vs. Title Match Booking for NXT Roadblock 2025

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show in Cincinnati, Ohio featured the announcement of a NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s North American Championship Winner Takes All match between Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that the reason why NXT officials decided to book a title vs. title match this quickly involving Giulia and Vaquer is due to an injury-related issue. Alvarez reported that he knows which of the two is injured but did not want to reveal who it was due to it would basically spoil the outcome of that upcoming match.

Alvarez reported that this injured person in question is also currently expected to take some time off following NXT’s Roadblock 2025 show.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Giulia recently suffered a serious injury and will be taking time off to heal up soon. Johnson reported that the exact nature of Giulia’s injury has yet to be confirmed by his sources.

The Hardy Boyz Comments on Their WWE Return Appearance at February 25th NXT Show

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show in Cincinnati, Ohio featured The Hardy Boyz’s Matt & Jeff Hardy making their WWE in-ring return appearance for WWE’s NXT brand. The Hardys competed in a tag team match against No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne & Tavion Heights, which was won by the Hardys.

Following their match, WWE held a digital exclusive backstage interview with the Hardys. One of the topics discussed included the Hardys thoughts about them making their in-ring return appearance in WWE.

Matt Hardy – “It feels incredible. It’s extremely flattering. We returned home. We’re back at our birthplace. WWE will always be our home, it will always be our birthplace. Without WWE, we wouldn’t be who we are, and we are blessed to have had this 33-year-long career. Coming back at NXT, making our debut, wrestling on live television, it was an absolute honor, an absolute blast. Thank you for having us.”

Jeff Hardy – “Amen. Yeah, this is very surreal. It’s good to be back. It’s where it all began. Maybe it’ll all end here. But for right now, we’re Total Nonstop Action, baby, mixing it up with NXT in the WWE, it don’t get much better.”

Matt Hardy also gave his thoughts about their upcoming match against Fraxiom for their TNA World Tag Team Championship at WWE’s NXT Roadblock 2025 event.

“I gotta tell you, these guys are great. I’m gonna give them their due, they are great. They’ve been on our radar for a while now. We do all that we can to keep our fingers on the pulse of pro wrestling, and we want to have that title of being the greatest tag team of all time. That is important to us. We want to cement our legacy as one of the best ever. But I’m telling you, Fraxiom is in the conversation, and I know we’re in for a hell of a fight whenever we get to New York City. But we are the most fightingest champions you are ever going to see because we are all about hope and faith, and fear is only a four-letter word to The Hardys. We are not afraid.”

Wednesday’s WWE Speed show on Twitter featured Zoey Stark and Candice LeRae going to a time limit draw for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship. As a result, LeRae retained her title. It was announced that next week’s show will be featuring the start of a new #1 Contender’s tournament for the WWE Speed Championship.

WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently announced that “New Way Out” by Poppy is the official theme song for this Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It was announced that CM Punk will be making an appearance at their March 17th RAW show in Brussels, Belgium, their March 21st SmackDown show in Bologna, Italy, and their March 28th SmackDown show in London, England.

Deadline reported that Sheamus recently signed a deal with Paradigm Talent Agency to further her career outside of wrestling.

WWE filed a new trademark for “Fraxiom” on February 25th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This is the tag team name of current NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom.

This past Tuesday’s NBA game of Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured Chelsea Green among those in attendance.

WWE recently released two new videos to their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was the full February 26, 1984 event for Georgia Championship Wrestling at The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The second new video was the WWE Championship #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber match of John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. King Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. R-Truth at WWE Elimination Chamber 2011.

Karrion Kross recently shared the debut trailer for the upcoming “Blue Evening” short film featuring him starring in the film. Kross stated om Twitter “VERY excited to finally debut this trailer.
