Kyle Fletcher Reflects on Getting to Participate in AEW Grand Slam Australia
This past Saturday’s AEW Grand Slam Australia show in Brisbane, Australia featured Will Ospreay & Kenny Omega defeating the Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher.
Fletcher recently reflected on Twitter about getting to wrestle at AEW’s Grand Slam Australia show in front of his home country crowd and doing media interviews for AEW this past week.
“Here it comes.
Starting out in Australia I never thought things like this were possible. No one from Australia had ever “made it” so the idea that anything like this would ever be a reality seemed so far fetched.
This week I got to wrestle in front of over ten thousand, countless friends and family, do interviews with the news outlets I grew up watching, test myself against some of the greatest to ever do it and just so happened to get into the best shape of my life for it.
Plus I got to share my beautiful country with my beautiful life partner for the first time (and see Bodhi the golden).
This entire week has felt surreal. Overwhelming at times but all worth it for one of the best days of my life.
Thank you for being a part of it in any way, it will never be lost on me how blessed I am to live this life. I’m gonna be riding this high for a long time. “
Here it comes

Kevin Kelly & Tate Twins Defamation Lawsuit Against AEW Update – Kelly & Tate Twins File Motion Challenging AEW’s Force Arbitration Efforts
As noted before, former AEW commentator Kevin Kelly and former AEW and ROH talents The Tate Twins (Brandon & Brent Tate), former The Boys, filed a defamation lawsuit this past September against AEW, AEW CEO Tony Khan, and AEW/ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni. This lawsuit was officially moved to a federal court this past November.
Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that Kelly and the Tate Twins filed a new motion on February 10th before the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida (Jacksonville) based on recent court records.
In the filing, Kelly and the Tate Twins’ attorney Stephen P. New argued that the arbitration clause in their talent contracts and rest of their contracts is one-sided and unenforceable.
In the filing, the plaintiffs claimed that they were not given a real chance to negotiate arbitration and were not told how expensive it would be and making it nearly impossible to challenge AEW in a fair setting.
Kelly and the Tate Twins reportedly also claimed that AEW’s arbitration clause reinforces an unfair power dynamic and restricting talent while allowing AEW more legal flexibility. They reportedly also claim that their talent contracts allow AEW to reserve the right to seek injunctive and equitable relief in court, but denies wrestlers the same option and preventing them from using the legal system to challenge the company on equal footing.
New is claiming that AEW’s contracts “prohibit talent from challenging the legality of their contracts, limit discovery rights, but allow AEW to claim certain damages while preventing talent from doing the same.”
Thurston reported that AEW’s contracts with Kelly and the Tate Twins are filed under seal meaning the judge can review them but the public can not.
