Momo Watanabe vs. Mercedes Mone for TBS Title Announced for AEW Revolution 2025
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of Revolution 2025, which takes place on March 9th at the Cyrpto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
This new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Momo Watanabe vs. Mercedes Mone (c).
This match was initially setup over Watanabe winning the International Women’s Cup at this past January’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event to receive a shot at any Women’s tile of her choosing and her altercation with Mone at this past Saturday’s Grand Slam Australia event.
During tonight’s show, Renee Paquette interviewed Mone backstage who talked about her victory over Harley Cameron at Grand Slam Australia to retain her TBS title. This led to Paquette informing Mone that Watanabe had some recent words for her. This led to a video airing featuring Watanabe saying that she wants Mone’s TBS title for her choice of a title match and for it to happen at AEW’s Revolution 2025 event.
