Death Riders vs. Cope & Jay White Brisbane Brawl Match Announced for AEW Collision Grand Slam Australia

Saturday’s AEW Collision show at the Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of AEW Collision Grand Slam Australia.

This new match announced was a Brisbane Brawl match of Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley) vs. Cope & Jay White.

This match was initially setup during this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show following a promo segment involving Cope, Moxley, and White that featured White issuing a challenge to Moxley & Castagnoli for a Brisbane Brawl tag team match at Grand Slam Australia.

During tonight’s show, Death Riders’ Marina Shafir and Moxley came out to the ring and Moxley responded by first giving his reasons why he rejected Cope’s challenge for his AEW World Championship at Revolution 2025 and afterwards accepted White’s challenge for Grand Slam Australia. Following Moxley’s promo, a graphic was shown on the screen making the match official for the show.

Hologram Makes Surprise Return on Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured Hologram making his surprise return to AEW.

Following La Faccion Ingobernable’s victory over a team of jobbers in a Trios match, LFI’s RUSH, Dralistico, & The Beast Mortos continued their attack leading to Komander running out to try to save them to no avail. This led to the lights going out and a video airing on the big screen hyping up Hologram’s return. This led to Hologram coming out and teamed up with Komander to help take out LFI and clear them from the ring.

This was Hologram’s first appearance in AEW since this past October due to an ankle injury and paternity-related reasons over the birth of a new child for his family.

Harley Cameron vs. Mercedes Mone for TBS Title Announced for AEW Grand Slam Australia

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of AEW Collision Grand Slam Australia show, which takes place on February 15th at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

This new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Harley Cameron vs. Mercedes Mone (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows involving Cameron trying to get Mone to agree to a TBS title match in front of her home country crowd for Grand Slam Australia only for Mone to refuse each time.

During tonight’s show, Cameron performed a “Halftime Harley” concert talking about Mone, which led to Mone coming out to interrupt. After some back-and-forth banter between the two revolving around Cameron asking again for a shot at the TBS title and Mone responding back with insults, Cameron got upset and laid out Mone after telling her to “Feel the Wrath.” This led to an update Mone grabbing a microphone and stated that if Cameron wanted a match that badly, then she will get one at Grand Slam Australia.

Current card for AEW Grand Slam Australia:

  • AEW Continental Championship – Buddy Matthews vs. Kazuchika Okada (c)

Luther Makes Surprise Return at Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured Luther making his surprise return to AEW.

Following “The Glamour” Mariah May’s victory over Shay Carmichael in a “Glamorous Exhibition” match, May attacked Carmichael and grabbed her bag that she had placed prior to the start of her match. May grabbed lipstick from the bag and proceeded to smear it all over Carmichael’s face and dressed her in a “Timeless” blouse. This led to Luther making his surprise return and made his way to the ring apron holding a tray with something covered on it. Luther took off the covering revealing the same bloody shoe that May had attacked “Timeless” Toni Storm with when she turned on Storm. May responded by laying out Luther and went back to resume her attack on Carmichael. When May grabbed Carmichael’s head, this turned out to be Storm who had swapped places with Carmichael and gave May a smile. This led to a brawl breaking out that ended with May running away through the crowd and Luther hoisting Storm on his shoulders.

This was Luther’s first appearance in AEW since this past August’s All In 2024 event.
