Triple H Comments on WWE’s Plans & Vision for John Cena’s Farewell Tour
A recent episode of Sports Illustrated’s SI Media with Jimmy Traina podcast featured WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Levesque’s thoughts about WWE’s plans and vision for John Cena’s Farewell Tour in the company.
“I think he’ll always be part of WWE. It’s in his DNA and he’ll always do stuff with us and will always be part of it. In-ring, as a performer, I think when he’s done, he’s done. What the year will look like, we’re still figuring it out. Obviously, John is very busy, but he has made this his prime commitment for the year. He is kind of all in. He’s going to make live events. He’s going to make TVs. Not everything. He’ll make select Premium Live Events. He’s going to wrestle a lot and perform a lot. It’s a one calendar year thing and then he’s going to call it a day. John has the same mindset I did where, I just want to go to all the places I went and go one more time to say thank you. It’s not about, ‘I have to main event WrestleMania. I have to main event this TV show. I have to win the World Title.’ It’s none of that. It’s one last loop and last tour.
For me, when John and I talk about this, he’s like, ‘Whatever works best for WWE. You guys plug me into whatever you think is the best for WWE.’ I just want it to be great for John. I want it to be great for fans, but first and foremost, I want John, when he gets to the end of this one-year run, to say, ‘That was the perfect out. That was the perfect last run. I did all the things I wanted to do. I performed the way I wanted to perform.’ When he gets to the end, he feels fulfilled and satisfied. He’s earned that as much or maybe more than anybody else. He’s earned that. He’s the template of a professional performer that you see guys like Cody Rhodes mirroring now. Diffrerent things have been said about him over time, ‘Greatest of All Time,’ all of them are fairly accurate. He really is the consummate pro in our business and always does the right thing for the company, whether that’s right for him or not. I just want it to be right for him on the way out, that’s the thing I’m leaning on most.”

Jade Cargill Injury Situation Update – Cargill Reportedly Visited WWE’s Performance Center
As noted before, Jade Cargill has been out of action for WWE following an injury angle on the November 22nd WWE SmackDown show in Salt Lake City, Utah. The situation with Cargill’s injury status has led to conflicting reports over it being genuine or just a storyline injury. Cargill’s injury situation is also rumored to be a potential cover for a currently unknown backstage political issue involving Cargill.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Cargill recently visited WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and has been working out in the ring. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Cargill is currently scheduled to be at the Performance Center for a few days this week.
Johnson reported that the reason for Cargill’s workouts is likely to prepare her for an in-ring return sometime this WrestleMania 41 season.
Johnson also reported that despite reports from other places stating that Cargill is injured, those recently spoken to stated that Cargill has not been injured and instead she has just been on vacation and working on outside entertainment projects in recent weeks.
In regards to WWE’s plans for Cargill’s return, Johnson reported that WWE officials recently had two different pitches about who would be revealed as Cargill’s mystery attacker. This reportedly allows WWE officials to move the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship without needed Cargill or Bianca Belair having to lose and keep them strong.
Following Johnson’s report, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp disputed the portion of Johnson’s report denying Cargill having been legit hurt. Sapp reported that Cargill’s name has been listed on WWE’s internal injury list since her absence.

Former WWE talent Maven recently released a new video on his YouTube channel featuring WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Dudley’s thoughts about Triple H’s infamous “You People” promo directed towards Booker T during their feud for the WWE World Championship leading up to WrestleMnaia 19. Dudley stated “Something that should not have been put on camera and in [front] of an audience as big as it is because we got kids. There’s kids watching. There’s people that are influenced by pro wrestling. So to ever go that route again, we should never, never go back. I don’t think we can, but I don’t think we ever should have in the first place.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
