WWE World Title & IC Title Matches Announced for Jan. 19th SNME Show
Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured two new matches announced for the card of WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on January 25th at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The first new match announced was a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match of Jey Uso vs. Gunther (c).
This match was setup following a promo segment between Gunther and Uso. Gunther talked about last week’s RAW premiere show on Netflix and how the only prize worth fighting for is the World Heavyweight Championship he holds and nobody on the RAW roster being worthy for it besides him. This led to Uso’s music playing and him coming out to the ring. Uso issued a challenge for Gunther’s title at WWE’s upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show, which Gunther agreed but not after delivering a series of insults at Uso mocking him for ever thinking he could be on his level and not being a real main event star unlike him. As Gunther left the ring, Uso responded stating everything Gunther said was true about him and claimed that Gunther will respect him once he beats his ass for the World Heavyweight title.

Jax came out to the ring and talked about how she couldn’t take this anymore and she was in the back talking to Adam Pearce about switching to RAW. Jax stated that she had to come out here to talk to Mami and she wants Rhea and everyone else to know that she will be winning the Royal Rumble. After some more insults, Jax turned her attention towards Bayley at ringside and stated that she doesn’t know what Bayley is doing here and insulted both Bayley and San Jose.
