Jeff Hardy Comments on He Could Have Been Bigger Star than John Cena If He Lived His Younger Life Better
WFAA held a recent interview with former WWE and current TNA talent Jeff Hardy. One of the topics discussed included Hardy’s thoughts about if he had expected to still be wrestling 30 years ago and his belief that he would have been a bigger star in wrestling than John Cena had he lived his younger life better.
“I don’t know, probably….the way I was living life in my 20s and 30s… if I was living life the way I’m living life now, oh my gosh, there’s no telling. I would probably be bigger than John Cena, today. I was born with such a gift to be a pro wrestler. It just felt so natural, like I was totally created to do this thing. The cool thing about that is I’m still here and still have life. I feel good. I don’t put a number on it. I’ll pretty much wrestle until I can’t wrestle anymore.”

Sheamus Comments on Him Not Thinking About Retirement & Future of His Wrestling Career
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Sheamus as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Sheamus confirming that his new contract with WWE is for five years in length and he currently does not have any retirement plans for his wrestling career.
“Not really. Again, I just signed a new five-year deal. My wife reminds me all the time, [the deal will take me until I’m] 52. Is it 52? Listen, I’ll go until the wheels fall off me. I could do it until physically I can’t do it anymore. I love what I do. And, listen, there’s plenty of time to sit back and read a book and just watch TV.
Like, there’s a lot of that, you know? I know a lot of people, I’ve talked to some talent as well. You meet them all at Mania and everything when they come in, especially the Hall of Fame, but also everybody gets invited to Mania. You can tell a lot of the talents who just retired too early. I mean, look, if I had to hang up my boots when that stuff happened with my neck [when he was out of action from August 2023 to April 2024], I’d be at peace with it, right? Because you know there’s nothing you could do. But when some talent that retired before their time, you can tell there’s a bit of regret there.”
