Taishi Ozawa Wins GHC Heavyweight Title at NOAH The New Year 2025

Wednesday’s The New Year 2025 event for Pro Wrestling NOAH at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan featured Taishi Ozawa defeating Kaito Kiyomiya to become the new GHC Heavyweight Champion.

Following the match, Ozawa celebrated his victory with his fellow Team 2000X members Yoshihatsu, Daga, Jack Morris, and newest member Omos.

This was Ozawa’s first ever GCH Heavyweight Championship victory in his NOAH career.


Gabe Kidd’s NJPW Contract Reportedly Expiring Soon

Gabe Kidd’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling reportedly is currently set to expire soon, according to Fightful Select.

It was reported that their sources stated that NJPW officials are currently hoping to keep Kidd in the company. Kidd’s contract reportedly is one of several talents contracts that is currently set to expire soon in the company.

It was also reported that AEW is currently interested in signing Kidd but that will all depend on whether he signs a new deal with NJPW or not.

Kidd is currently scheduled to face off against Kenny Omega in a singles match at NJPW and AEW’s co-promoted Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th in Tokyo, Japan.


Konami Suffered Injury at Stardom Dream Queendom 2024 Event

Stardom announced that Konami suffered an undisclosed injury at this past Sunday’s Dream Queendom 2024 event in Tokyo, Japan and she will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
