Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix reportedly attended AEW’s Fight for the Fallen 2025 show on Wednesday in Asheville, North Carolina, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that both Irvin and Phoenix were seen backstage during the show.
In a follow-up report, Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that Irvin and Phoenix simply were visiting and AEW officials currently have no plans for either of them to appear on-screen for the company.
In regards to Irvin, Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that Irvin is currently under a no-compete with WWE that would prevent her from appearing on any combat sports shows. Irvin reportedly has been in attendance at AEW tapings from time to time with her finance Ricochet.
In regards to Phoenix, Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that the reason for Phoenix’s visit was due to AEW being in Asheville that night, which is where both Phoenix and her husband Adam Copeland reside. AEW officials reportedly have not had any recent discussions regarding potential plans to bring him into the company.
