As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show in San Jose, California featured Penta, former Penta El Zero Miedo in AEW, making his official debut in WWE. Penta was rumored to have some potential backstage heat over his match against Chad Gable and post-match promo going longer than planned causing other talents to get their times cut for their segments on the show.
Fightful Select reported that high level WWE officials spoken to stated that they had not specifically heard of any heat on Penta over his match and promo going longer than planned. Those spoken to reportedly stated that if there was any heat, then it should have been on whoever decided that the show needed a hard out.
It was reported that while WWE has flexible runtimes for their RAW shows on Netflix, WWE officials wanted this past Monday’s show to get off the air in about two in a half hours.
In regards to the reason for the decision to end the show earlier than the three hour mark, it was reported that those spoken to stated that the claims going around internally were that some talents wanted to make sure they made it to their late flights out of San Jose.
In regards to Penta having potential backstage heat within WWE’s locker room, it was reported that talent spoken to stated that they did not hear of any heat on Penta over the issue. Those spoken to reportedly also stated that most everyone backstage was aware or how much the moment meant to him and his family at the show.
