Momo Watanabe Wins International Women’s Cup at Wrestle Dynasty

Saturday/Sunday’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan featured Momo Watanabe defeating Athena, Persephone, and Willow Nightingale in a Four-way match to become the winner of the International Women’s Cup.

As a result of her victory, Watanabe earned a shot at any Women’s championship in NJPW, Stardom, AEW, ROH, or CMLL.


Mercedes Mone Wins RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Title at Wrestle Dynasty

Sunday’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event also featured Mercedes Mone defeating Mina Shirakawa to become the new RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.

This match also featured Mone’s NJPW Strong Women’s Championship being on the line as well in a title vs. title match.

This was Mone’s first ever championship victory for Revolution Pro Wrestling.

As a result of her victory, Mone is now the current AEW TBS Champion, NJPW Women’s Champion, and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.


Young Bucks Wins Vacant IWGP Tag Tiles at Wrestle Dynasty

Sunday’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dream event also featured The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) defeating United Empire (Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb) and Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi) to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.

This was for the vacant titles following United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and HENARE vacating the titles due to HENARE’s suffering a knee injury this past December.

This was the Young Bucks second IWGP Tag titles victory in NJPW and their ninth in total, following seven IWGP Jr. Tag titles victories.


Kenny Omega Makes Official In-Ring Return & Debuts New Entrance Theme Song at Wrestle Dynasty

Sunday’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event also featured Kenny Omega making his official in-ring return from injury.

Besides his official in-ring return, Omega also debuted a new entrance theme song that was produced by Final Fantasy 14 & 16 composer Masayoshi Soken.

Omega defeated Gabe Kidd in an instant classic of a match.

Prior to his in-ring return, Omega had been out of action since January of 2024 due to diverticulitis and surgery.
