Video: Death Riders

We then cut to Jon Moxley and the Death Riders backstage in the moments after Worlds End went off the air, with Mox claiming he “dragged AEW to safety” over the past few years. He promises to destroy the AEW World Championship, before addressing Adam Copeland. Mox claims there is no authority in AEW, and that he is the king.

Backstage: Rated FTR

Backstage, Rated FTR address Death Riders ahead of their trios match later tonight. All three men are ready to go, promising to take the fight to the Riders on the mother of all simulcasts.

Orange Cassidy vs. Hangman Adam Page

The two go at it immediately, with Page evading an Orange Punch for a nearfall. They trade strikes before Page heads to the ropes, setting up for a Buckshot Lariat to no avail. Cassidy leaves the ring with the Hangman pursuing him, only for Orange to catch him with a rollup for a nearfall. Page sends Cassidy to the corner for his troubles, hammer throwing him to the opposite side before laying him out for a two count.

Cassidy gets back to his feet, evading a corner strike by Page…who catches him with a right hand sending Orange off the apron. Page yells at a crew member to move before grabbing Cassidy, sending him into the barricade not once but twice. Hangman breaks the ref’s count before bringing Cassidy to his feet for a powerbomb…but Cassidy reverses with a back body drop instead. Page is then sent to the barricade as Cassidy mounts up for a set of punches, stopping to break the ref’s count himself before leaving the ring…where he is met with a right hand by the Hangman!

Page is in control as he sends Cassidy to the corner, following up with a fall away slam into the ropes before making the cover…only for Orange to kick out! Cassidy catches the Hangman by surprise with a rollup for a nearfall, followed by the PK. Page counters a DDT attempt, only for Cassidy to catch him with a Stundog Millionaire before Page leaves the ring…blocking a dive attempt by Orange to send him to the floor with a fall away slam…as the Max feed goes to an ad break.

Back from break, Page maintains control with Cassidy back in the ring…only to roll out before Page can set up for a Buckshot Lariat. Page gives pursuit, only for Cassidy to catch him off guard sending the Hangman into the barricade. Page fights back, sending Orange back into the ring…but the former International Champion waves goodbye as he rolls out of the ring once more. Cassidy comes back in the ring, but is cut off by Hangman who sends him to the corner…only for Orange to send him face-first into the turnbuckle, over and over again for good measure. Cassidy climbs the turnbuckle, where Page tries to intervene but is dropped to the mat with a DDT that gives Cassidy a nearfall.

Cassidy hits a set of kicks on Page, who retaliates sending Cassidy down before looking for a Buckshot…only to get caught with a Beach Break and an Orange Punch for a nearfall by Cassidy! He hits another pair of Orange Punches for good measure, but Page endures long enough to connect with a Buckshot Lariat for the win!

Winner: Hangman Adam Page via Pinfall.

Page refuses to celebrate as he lays some punches into Cassidy after the match, and it all culminates in Hangman hitting Cassidy with a Dead Eye. Officials run down to the ring, including Christopher Daniels…who gets laid out by an irate Page! Hangman leaves the ring, shouting at Daniels to stay out of his business as we cut away.

Backstage: Jay White

Backstage we hear from Jay White, who addresses Wheeler Yuta costing him the AEW World Championship at Worlds End. He plans to get his revenge but that won’t make him stray from his path to Mox and the title, which begins later tonight when he faces Swerve Strickland and Roderick Strong for a spot in next week’s Casino Gauntlet match. It doesn’t matter whose house this is, you will breathe with the Switchblade!

The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) vs. Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley)

Back at ringside, The Acclaimed head out as we get an inset promo from the duo ahead of our next match. The former tag champs are very much divided as they get ready to face the Hurt Syndicate, with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin heading to the ring next as this match gets underway!

Shelton and Caster start things off, with Benjamin taking Caster down quickly before tagging in Lashley who wears Caster down in short order. Tag made back to Shelton who continues the beatdown, bringing Max back into the ring where a tag is made to Bowens. He tries his best to fight back before Caster tries to tag himself back in, and a breakdown in communication leads to Bowens backing away as Caster gets trapped in a flurry of offense by Shelton, with Lashley tagging in for a Hurt Lock and the victory!

Winner: Hurt Syndicate via Submission.

The pair celebrate alongside MVP.

Backstage: Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana

We cut backstage, where Swerve Strickland addresses the 3-Way match later tonight.

Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart

Hart is on the offensive early on, but Hayter soon fights back sending both women to the outside. Hayter looks to send Hart into the ring steps with a suplex, but Julia fights out before driving Hayter’s head into the steps to regain control as we go to an ad break.

Back from break, Hayter starts to turn the tide with an enziguri before taking the former TBS Champion to the mat for some mounted punches. She brings Hart back up for a Hayte Breaker and the cover…but Julia kicks out. Jamie continues the attack as Hart gets to the corner, where the former Women’s World Champion lays in some stomps before backing away for a running corner attack. Hart responds with a pair of boots to send Hayter down, going up top for a moonsault…but Hayter rolls out of the way!

Hart manages to surprise her for a nearfall, however, setting up for Hartless…but Jamie gets to her feet as she looks to break the hold. She finally does, and hits the ropes for a lariat and the cover…but Hart kicks out once again. Both women are up as Julia heads to the corner, but Jamie props her up on the top turnbuckle for a set of punches to the midsection. Hart manages to escape her predicament, hanging Jamie up on the top rope.

Hayter is favoring her ribs as Hart leaves the ring, returning with a red arrow…but the ref stops her, pulling the arrow away to remove it from play. This turns out to be a ruse as Hayter tries to fight back, only to be hit with some red mist from Hart who takes the win!

Winner: Julia Hart via Pinfall.

Video: Kyle Fletcher, Will Ospreay

Video Package: The feud between Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher seems to rage on despite Ospreay picking up a win over Fletcher in the Continental Classic semifinal at Worlds End!

Video: Kenny Omega

We come back from break to a video package hyping up Kenny Omega.

Video: Kazuchika Okada

We hear from Kazuchika Okada after winning the Continental Classic. He warns Kenny to stay out of his way, after the battles they’ve had over the years.

In-Ring: Mercedes Mone

Back at ringside, Mercedes Moné is on her way down the ramp as we see the ring set up for a celebration following her win at Worlds End. Moné tells Asheville to say hello to their CEO before giving everyone a special video package, focused on the rise of Mercedes since coming to AEW along with her success in New Japan as of late.

We head back to the ring where Moné hypes up her match at Wrestle Dynasty against Mina Shirakawa. She talks about wanting Mina’s RevPro Women’s title as well, because money changes everything. Commentary clarifies that this is indeed a title for title match on January 5 at the Tokyo Dome, while the CEO dances to her music.

Video: AEW Fight for the Fallen 2025

We cut to a video in support of Hurricane Helene relief efforts through a variety of charity organizations in the area, before showcasing the first responders attending tonight’s Fight For The Fallen show. We then get a look at earlier today, with Beloved Asheville and Asheville Dream Center being presented a check to help with their efforts.

Backstage: Undisputed Kingdom

We cut backstage where Alex Marvez hears from the Undisputed Kingdom ahead of Roderick Strong’s match tonight. Cole says the group is now complete with Kyle here, and Strong is ready to earn the #1 spot in next week’s Casino Gauntlet match. He walks off, and we cut away to ringside.

Three-way Match
Roderick Strong vs. Jay White vs. Swerve Strickland

With the crowd chanting this is “Swerve’s House,” White and Strong focus on taking out the former AEW World Champion…but Strickland sends Jay out of the ring before dealing with Roderick, sending him on his way to the outside before taking the Switchblade down with a dive to the outside as well. He brings White back into the ring, getting the drop on him for a nearfall before Strong breaks it up.

Jay gets the advantage now, sending Strickland and Roderick out of the ring before turning his attention to Swerve for a suplex onto the apron. He then goes after Roderick with the same move, bringing Roderick back in the ring…but Strong hits a backbreaker to get back into the match, forcing the Switchblade out of the ring and onto Strickland as we hit another ad break on the Max simulcast.

Back from break, we see all three men back in the ring…and all three down on the canvas, with Swerve the first back to his feet. The others are back up, but Strickland keeps on top of them before sending Strong into White with a powerbomb in the corner. Body slam on Jay and Swerve makes the cover, but Roderick breaks it up.

Strong stops a Flatliner attempt before sending Strickland out of the ring, hitting a big suplex on the Switchblade for a nearfall. Jay leaves the ring as Strickland makes his way back in, catching Roderick with a stomp before trying to go for a House Call…but White intervenes for a Blade Runner attempt! Swerve blocks it, taking the Switchblade down before hitting the turnbuckle…where he gets intercepted by Strong, allowing Jay to leave the ring.

Strickland catches Strong with a running kick from the apron before turning his attention to Jay White, running along the barricade for a pump kick on the Switchblade…but Ricochet appears in the front row, attacking Swerve with a golden pair of scissors to drop him to the floor! Jay and Roderick are back in the ring, with White hitting a Blade Runner for the victory!

Winner: Jay White via Pinfall.

Jay makes his way up the ramp real quick to celebrate as we see Ricochet still at ringside, ready to continue the attack on Strickland until Nana intervenes. Ricochet stares him down before going back after Swerve, attacking the former World Champion’s head with the scissors followed by a headbutt.

Ricochet isn’t finished, however, as he sends Strickland back in the ring before grabbing a steel chair. He enters the ring, setting the chair up before sitting Strickland up on it for a Spirit Gun from the corner. The Undisputed Kingdom rush into the ring for the save as Ricochet leaves the ring with a sick smile on his face, enjoying his handiwork while the Kingdom checks on Strickland before a medic comes in.

Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, Karen Jarrett

Backstage, Alex Marvez tries to get a word from Jeff Jarrett’s buddies when the Last Outlaw himself appears. Marvez is asked to leave as the group convenes, with Jarrett asked if he is sure he wants to go through with whatever announcement he has to make tonight. Karen appears to promise she will stand by him, no matter what…before handing him a pair of his boots, with Jarrett walking off as we cut away.

Backstage: “The Glamour” Mariah May

Elsewhere, Mariah May continues to hype herself up as she talks about the state of the women’s division. She calls herself the epic, saying it’s time for the “greatest women’s division” to prove themselves to the champion. She says the division can’t touch her, but she’d love to see them try.

In-Ring: Jeff Jarrett

We head to ringside where Jeff Jarret’s music hits, bringing out the Last Outlaw who has his boots on his shoulders as he gets into the ring. He sets the boots down to grab a microphone, wishing Asheville a “slappy New Year” before getting things started.

He talks about being thankful for a lot of things over the course of his career, as the crowd chants “Double J.” Jarrett says it’s sad to think about things coming to an end, but thinking about that also gives a chance to think about how it all began. He brings up the moment that set things in motion for the Jarrett family to get involved in the wrestling business. The recollection turns to 1986, when Jeff made the decision to become a pro wrestler. He then talks about one more high risk, high reward decision he made, when he bet on himself in 2002 to start his own promotion. All of this leads him to tonight, as he raises his boots up.

The crowd chants “no” as Jarrett says he has to ask himself if the Last Outlaw has to just ride off into the sunset…and the answer is hell no! The thought that keeps going through his mind is “Jeff, when you’ve taken the biggest risks in your life, you’ve gained the biggest reward.” Jarrett announces that he has signed his last contract in pro wrestling, having re-signed with AEW…because the Last Outlaw wants AEW gold.

He has his sights on the biggest risk of all in this company, declaring himself for the Casino Gauntlet Match next week…because the Last Outlaw’s resolution for 2025 is to become the AEW World Champion.

Video: HOOK

We get a video package highlighting HOOK’s issues with Christian Cage, leading to HOOK issuing a challenge to the Patriarch himself…and we get confirmation that in two weeks it’ll be Christian Cage taking on HOOK at Maximum Carnage!

2-on-1 Handicap Match
Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Jon Cruz & Rob Killjoy

Ya know…it’s really hard to describe what took place here as anything more than Hobbs demolishing Killroy and Cruz, so let’s leave it at that, okay? Hobbs picks up the win.

Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs via Pinfall.

Backstage: The Learning Tree, Rated FTR

We cut backstage, where Alex Marvez asks Big Bill and Brian Keith a question I certainly wasn’t asking…”where is Chris Jericho?” Bill explains that Jericho isn’t here before noticing Rated FTR, running the trio and the city of Asheville down…and this leads to Copeland calling Keith a “tumbleweed” and saying Bill’s face “looks stupid” before issuing a challenge for Collision this Saturday.

Video: Sweet Daddy Siki Memorial Graphic

A graphic in remembrance of Sweet Daddy Siki takes us to an ad break.

Video: MJF

We hear from MJF after his match at Worlds End, where the former World Champion mocks the Undisputed Kingdom before turning his attention to the title he claims he never lost. He calls out “Dictator Jon” as he wants his title back. In 2025, the Devil gets his due…part two.

Trios Match
Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Rated FTR (Adam Copeland & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)

We start off with Harwood and Yuta, the two trading strikes until Dax is sent to the ropes with a chop. He sends Wheeler to the ropes but is dropped with a shoulder tackle, only to send Yuta into the corner and follows with a back body drop to take control of the match. Tag made to Copeland, who tells Yuta to make a tag…and tag he does, as Claudio comes into the ring to face off with Copeland.

They go at it, with the former TNT Champion sent to the ropes but stopping Claudio from taking him down. They trade holds now, with Claudio being sent to the outside before Cope goes after him. Castagnoli makes his escape, distracting the ref as Shafir blindsides Adam, sending him into the ring post as we go to an ad break.

Back from break, the Death Riders are still in control with Mox in the ring to lay some punches into Copeland before making the tag to Castagnoli. He wears the Rated R Superstar down before tagging in Yuta, but the Copeland makes a tag to Cash Wheeler as FTR rush in to even the odds against the Death Riders. Wheeler takes down, uh, Wheeler with a suplex before making the tag to Dax…but Claudio intervenes, only to take a brainbuster by Harwood. This gives Yuta an opening as he gets a nearfall, with Harwood getting a pair of nearfalls of his own afterward.

Yuta gets the advantage now before climbing the turnbuckle, where he is met by Harwood taking him down hard with an avalanche back suplex! Dax with the cover, but only gets a nearfall before Claudio rushes in. Neutralizer attempt is blocked, but Yuta gets a nearfall before the action spills to the outside as we go to an ad break.

Back from break, Dax and Yuta are still the legal men and they are down on the mat until Claudio gets the tag. Cash is in as well as they go off, but the action quickly shifts gears when Copeland and Moxley make their respective tags. The two have a staredown before Cope goes on the attack, sending the World Champion into the mat with an Impaler…but Mox evades a Spear attempt after. Mox makes his escape from the ring, accompanied by Shafir as they head into the crowd…but Cope is right there behind them!

Adam brings the champ back toward ringside after a brief brawl, but Mox makes a tag to Yuta before leaving the ring and the young man gets a nearfall on Copeland in the process. Adam fights back, countering Yuta for a nearfall of his own. Cope is in the corner, looking for a Spear…but Mox and Claudio drop him, pulling him into the ring post while the ref is distracted. Cash goes on the attack, but he and Dax are beaten down by the Death Riders…who turn their attention to an announce table.

They bring Cope to the table as Mox looks to hit a Gotch-style Piledriver while Yuta goes back into the ring…where he is met with a Blade Runner by Jay White thanks to the ref focusing on dealing with the situation outside! Cope counters with a back body drop sending the champ off the table, sliding into the ring as FTR send Claudio away before hitting a Shatter Machine on Yuta…who then takes a Spear by Copeland, who makes the cover for the win in our main event tonight!

Winner: Rated FTR via Pinfall.

The trio celebrate in the ring as commentary runs down the card for Collision as well as a reminder that Kenny Omega will make his return next week before Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen comes to a close.
