AEW Collision Taping Spoilers for February 1st Episode from Huntsville, AL – Three AEW Talents Make Surprise Returns

AEW held a new television tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the Propst Arena At Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama

This taping will be for this week’s Collision episode on Saturday, February 1st.

This taping was also held before and after AEW’s Dynamite tapings that night in the same venue.

In regards to notable moments from the tapings, RUSH made his surprise return. Rush was accompanied to the ring with The Beast Mortos and Dralistico, who also made his surprise return. RUSH was revealed to be Max Caster’s first opponent for his new Open Challenge series, which was won by RUSH. This was RUSH’s first appearance and match and Dralistico’s first appearance in AEW since this past November due to backstage heat issues following an incident involving both of them during a match for AEW Rampage.

Besides RUSH, Bandido also made his surprise return at the tapings. Following The Learning Tree’s tag team victory over The Outrunners, The Learning Tree proceeded to attack The Outrunners leading to Bandido making his surprise return and came out to save The Outrunners and laid out each member of The Learning Tree. This was Bandido’s first appearance since this past December’s ROH Final Battle 2024 event due to a concussion injury.

Full results from AEW Collision tapings on January 29th:

  • Max Caster’s Open Challenge Series match – RUSH defeated Max Caster. Following the match, RUSH grabbed a microphone and yelled at fellow La Facción Ingobernable member The Beat Mortos.
  • Samoa Joe & HOOK defeated The Patriarchy (Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian). Following the match, Christian Cage attacked Joe & HOOK with his AEW World title match contract folder laying both of them out.
  • The Learning Tree (Bryan Keith & Chris Jericho) defeated The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd). Following the match, Big Bill attacked The Outrunners leading to Jericho & Keith setting up a table for Bill to chokeslam both Outrunners through. This led to Bandido’s music playing and him coming out to save The Outrunners and laid out Bill, Jericho, & Keith.
  • Mid-South Street Fight match – FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) defeated Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta). During the match, Death Riders’ Marina Shafir & Claudio Castagnoli interfered leading to Jay White and Adam “Cope” Copeland running out to even the odds. Following the match, FTR, White, and Cope took their turns attacking Moxley and White grabbed a chair to finish off Moxley before being prevented by Castagnoli who pulled Moxley out of the ring to safety.
  • “Timeless” Toni Storm gave a promo with a spotlight shined on her. Storm talked about how she has been playing a role for the past six weeks and her bad blood issues with “The Glamour” Mariah May.
  • Megan Bayne defeated Hyena Hera
  • Harley Cameron defeated Taya Valkyrie
  • TNT Championship Three-way match – Daniel Garcia (c) defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Lee Moriarty. Following the match, Shane Taylor Promotions’ Shane Taylor and The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean) surrounded the ring and prepared to attack Garcia, O’Reilly, and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard. This led to the Undisputed Kingdom’s music playing and Adam Cole & Roderick Strong running out and chased Shane Taylor Promotions away.
  • Post-show dark segment – Adam Cole grabbed a microphone and asked the crowd if they wanted “Story Time with Adam Cole.” Cole thanked the fans for coming to the show and stated that they were the best. Garcia asked to do the Adam Cole “Bay-Bay” catchphrase with him to end things.
