Julia Hart Comments on Malakai Black’s Expected AEW Departure & Future of House of Black
As noted before, Malakai Black is currently believed to be finishing up with AEW and expected to leave the company.
Instinct Culture’s Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with Julia Hart. One of the topics discussed included Hart’s thoughts about Black’s expected departure from AEW and how it could affect the future of the House of Black.
“I think we’ll be okay, and whatever he decides to do with his career is his business, and I wish him all the best no matter what. He has been such a great rock for me, and I appreciate everything he’s ever done with me. But also the rumors aren’t confirmed or anything, so I don’t know what exactly is going on. Anything could be happening, we don’t know. So it’s just a matter of whatever happens, happens, and I’m happy for him no matter what happens, and I think House of Black will be okay [laughs]. No matter what happens. I think I’ll keep destroying the women’s locker room [laughs], and Brody and Buddy will destroy the men’s locker room. Everything will be okay, and I am happy for everybody no matter what.”

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources confirmed that AEW officials current plans are for a match between Omega and Okada to take place at this July’s All In: Texas event at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while the exact percentages are currently not known, AEW’s Worlds End 2024 event this past December is currently estimated to have generated the highest pay-per-view buys for an AEW event since this past August’s All In event based on updated late buys purchases. Meltzer reported that Worlds End 2024’s buys recently surpassed this past November’s Full Gear 2024 buys.

In a recent interview with The Bobby Bones Show podcast, Jeff Jarrett gave his thoughts about how much creative input he has for his current role and final contract run of his career in AEW. Jarrett stated “Very little. Very little. That’s a bit of an adjustment, good and bad. I don’t have the responsibility. It is a full-time, non-stop, juggling act. I have little to no real input. A little piece here and there, but for the most part, it’s not my ball to wack.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
