Kevin Owens Comments on WWE’s Popularity Growth Over Past Year

Collider held a recent interview with Kevin Owens. One of the topics discussed included Owens’ thoughts about his praise of the creative shift and talent for WWE’s growth in popularity over the past year.

“It’s just really about how hard everyone’s worked for so long, and eventually, things kind of lined up right. People started paying attention more and realized the show’s pretty great. There are a lot of talented, hardworking guys and girls here, giving it their all every single week. That change in direction made a lot of noise outside of WWE. I think that probably turned a few eyes toward us. Everybody started watching again and realized, like, hey, this is really good stuff now.”

Bronson Reed Broken Foot Injury Update – Reed Underwent Successful Surgery

As noted before, Bronson Reed suffered a broken foot injury during the Men’s WarGames match at WWE’s Survivor Series WarGames 2024 event this past November in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada. Reed is currently expected to miss next year’s WrestleMania 41 event due to his injury situation.

Janel Grant’s Attorney Comments on Resumption of Vince McMahon Lawsuit

As noted before, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit this past January against former TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company. Grant’s lawsuit has been on hold since this past April due to the U.S. Department of Justice launching a criminal investigation into McMahon and joined the lawsuit as an “interested party.” The federal investigation stay on Grant’s lawsuit officially expired on December 11th.

In an official statement to Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, Grant’s lawyer Ann Callis commented on her client’s lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE moving forward again.

Today, the United States Southern District for New York informed us that they will be letting the stay expire on Janel Grant’s lawsuit against former WWE CEO Vince McMahon, WWE executive John Laurinaitis, and WWE for sexual assault and human trafficking. This decision allows Ms. Grant to proceed with her civil charges against McMahon, Laurinaitis, and WWE while federal prosecutors continue their criminal investigation. In response, Ms. Grant’s attorney Ann Callis released the following statement:

“We are pleased that prosecutors for the Southern District of New York have concluded that they can continue their criminal investigation while we bring forward new evidence in our civil case about the sexual exploitation carried out by Janel Grant’s abusers. For the last six months, Ms. Grant has patiently waited to hold Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE accountable for the sex trafficking and abuse she endured at the company on a near daily basis. Her wait is over, and we now look forward to sharing Ms. Grant’s story.”
