Tetsuya Naito to Undergo Another Eye Surgery This Month
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Tetsuya Naito. One of the topics discussed included Naito revealing that he will be undergoing surgery for his left eye on December 18th to help align his vision.
“People often talk about my knees, but honestly, my eye is the bigger issue. When I look down, I see both a flat surface and a slanted one. Running in such a distorted view is challenging—I can’t trust my footing, my opponent looks like two people, and I struggle with depth perception in certain environments. It’s been incredibly stressful, as I can’t fully focus on matches. Apparently, there’s a method to align the vision of both eyes by adjusting the healthy eye to match the impaired one. This would help synchronize my overall vision. It sounded risky and made me very anxious, so I postponed it. But with the match against Hiromu now confirmed, I’ve decided to go through with it.”
Naito had underwent three surgeries for his right eye to correct his vision problems in recent years.

Tony Khan Comments on “There’s A Lot Of Interest In ROH, I’ve Had Great Conversations About TV Partnerships With ROH”
A recent episode of the Sports Guys Talk Wrestling podcast featured Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about the status of ROH’s talks for a potential new television deal.
“It’s a great company. I love ROH, and I think that really, for us, it’s important to look at, there’s a great opportunity to grow Ring of Honor as we grow AEW. AEW just secured this huge media rights deal, and it’s a complimentary thing to have another great wrestling promotion with that history. I do think there’s a lot of interest right now in Ring of Honor. I’ve had great conversations about TV partnerships with ROH, and I think as AEW continues to grow, there’s going to be more great opportunities for ROH in streaming and television.”
