QT Marshall vs. Jay Lethal and Billie Starkz vs. Athena for ROH Women’s Title Matches Set for ROH Final Battle 2024

Ring of Honor announced two new matches for the card of their Final Battle 2024 event, which takes place on December 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.

The first new match announced was a singles match of QT Marshall vs. Jay Lethal.

This match was intially set following last week’s ROH TV show over Lethal announcing his return to ROH as a competitor and his issues with Marshall trying to get a match with him as his first opponent back for Final Battle 2024. During tonight’s show, Lethal and Sonjay Dutt were seen backstage with ROH official Paul Wight talking about Lethal being back in ROH. This led to Marshall and Aaron Solo showing up to interrupt and after some banter between the two, Wight made a match between Lethal and Marshall official for Final Battle.

The second new match announced was a ROH Women’s World Championship match of Billie Starkz vs. Athena (c).

This match was initially setup over recent shows over Starkz and Athena’s issues with each other and Athena not being pleased with Starkz not being on the same page as her minion. During tonight’s show, Athena was seen backstage talking about nobody stepping up to challenge her at Final Battle and her taking the night off instead for her Athena World Tour. This led to Starkz coming out and after some words, Starkz revealed that she was Athena’s challenger for Final Battle. Athena then pretend to act upset thinking Starkz was just playing around and would do the job for her at Final Battle.
