HENARE & Callum Newman Suffered Knee Injuries at Thursday’s NJPW World Tag League 2024 Show
Thursday’s World Tag League 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Nobeoka, Japan featured HENARE and Callum Newman suffering knee-related injuries
HENARE suffered the injury during his Six-Man Tag Team match with fellow United Members tag partners Jakob Austin & Great-O-Khan against Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, & Tetsuya Naito).
During the match, Naito hit an arm whip to HENARE resulting in HENARE landing awkwardly on his right knee. While the match continued on for a little bit more, HENARE was unable to get up and continue resulting in the referee calling for the bell to end the match.
Later in the show, Newman suffered the injury during his World Tag League A Block tournament match with Jeff Cobb against TMDK’s Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.
During the match, Oiwa attempted to hit an avalanche brainbuster to Newman off the top rope only for Newman to escape but landed awkwardly on his leg. This led to Newman clutching his knee and went out of the ring. This then led to the referee checking on Newman and called for the bell after Newman was unable to continue.
