Kazuchika Okada Wins Continental Classic 2024 Tournament & Retains Continental Title at AEW Worlds End 2024, Kenny Omega Makes Surprise Return

Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2024 event at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida featured Kazuchika Okada defeating Will Ospreay in the Finals of this year’s Continental Classic tournament.

Ospreay defeated Kyle Fletcher and Okada defeated Ricochet in Semifinal Round matches earlier in the show to setup the Finals between the two.

This was Okada’s first ever Continental Classic tournament victory in his AEW career.

Following the match, Interim EVP Christopher Daniels came out to the stage and first congratulated Okada on his tournament victory. Daniels stated that normally he would be out here to present Okada with the Continental title for his tournament victory but as of tonight he is officially no longer an EVP. This led to Kenny Omega’s music playing and him coming out to the stage.

Omega stared down Okada from the stage and proceeded to grab the Continental title from its pedistal and made his way down to the ring. Omega then presented the title to Okada leading to a staredown between the two before Omega left the ring.

Omega and Okada continued their staredown leading to Okada’s music playing and Omega heading to the back.

This was Omega’s first appearance in AEW since this past May due to diverticulitis and underwent surgery.
