Chris Jericho Makes Surprise Appearance at Saturday’s GCW Event & Attacks Matt Cardona and EFFY

Saturday’s Highest In The Room 3 event for Game Changer Wrestling in Los Angeles, California featured Chris Jericho making a surprise appearance.

During the show, Matt Cardona competed against EFFY in a singles match. Following a low blow strike by Cardona to EEFY, Cardona attempted to hit EFFY with a belt only for a mysterious hood person to run into the ring and attacked Cardona with a baseball bat. This mystery person then waited in a corner and watched on as EFFY hit a Rough Rider to Cardona for the pinfall victory.

Following the match, EFFY looked on surprised over this mystery person in the ring. This mystery person took off their hood and mask revealing himself to be Jericho and attacked EFFY laying him out with a Judas Effect. Jericho then removed his sweatshirt revealing an AEW shirt and continued his attack on both Cardona and EFFY with a baseball bat before leaving to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Following the show, footage of Jericho’s surprise appearance and attack on Cardona and EFFY was posted on Ring of Honor’s official Twitter account.

Jericho is currently scheduled to defend his ROH World Championship against Cardona at ROH’s Final Battle 2024 event on December 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.

It is currently not known if Jericho’s appearance was as part of a previously agreed deal between both companies to help promote ROH’s upcoming Final Battle 2024 event or as part of a mending of the fences between AEW and GCW following the recent controversial comments made by EFFY directed at the Khan family and AEW.
