AEW Worlds End 2024 Notes Part 2: Adam Copeland Makes Surprise Return at Worlds End 2024, Death Riders vs. Rated FTR Set for AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen 2025 Show

Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2024 event at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida featured Adam Copeland making his surprise return from injury.

Following Jon Moxley defeating Jay White, Orange Cassidy, and Hangman Adam Page in a Four-way match to retain the AEW World Championship, Moxley and his Death Riders group attempted to attack White. This led to FTR’s music playing and them coming out to the stage and acted as if they were waiting for someone.

This someone ended up being Copeland after his music played and him coming out to be alongside FTR.

The three then made their way to the ring and engaged in a brawl with the Death Riders that ended with the Death Riders being cleared out of the ring and escaping away through the crowd. Before Moxley was able to leave, Copeland grabbed a microphone, which didn’t work at first, and called Moxley a “kid.” Copeland then stated that Rated FTR are going to take everything from them.

It was announced that Copeland and FTR will be facing off against the Death Riders in a Trios match at AEW’s Dynamite Fight for the Fallen 2025 show, which takes place on January 1, 2025 at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina.

Current card for January 1, 2025 AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen 2025 show:

  • Trios match – Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Rated FTR (Adam Copeland & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)
  • Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart
  • Jeff Jarrett to make “big” announcement

This was Copeland’s first appearance in AEW since this past May due to a fractured tibia injury and surgery.
