Mariah May Comments on her AEW Women’s Title Match with Mina Shirakawa at Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2024 Show

A recent episode of the AEW Close Up with Renee Paquette show featured AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May as the guest. One of the topics discussed included May’s thoughts about what fans can expect for her AEW Women’s title match against Mina Shirakawa at tonight’s AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2024 show in Kansas City, Missouri.

“It’s true, I know Mina well, and clearly, Mina knows me very well too. We’ve only had one singles match, and I won. This is the second time we’ve ever met in the ring. But Mina and I were tag champions, Mina and I were top merch sellers in STARDOM, Mina and I were everybody’s favorite tag team. We can still be that. We just have to do this first. You can expect what you can always expect from me in a title defense, which is the best match on the card.”

May also gave her thoughts about how her bottle attack to Shirakwa was her way of getting the best version of Shirakawa for their match and wanting to prove that AEW’s Women’s division deserves more than five minutes on Dynamite.

“Because that is how I get the best Mina. I got the best Willow [Nightingale], the best Toni Storm. This is what I do. I bring out the best in people. I don’t play nice, I don’t go, ‘Women’s wrestling,’ and cry and hug after a match. I want violence. I want the best match on the card, and I want to prove that women deserve more than five minutes on Dynamite.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Fenix recently deleted all of his tweets that contained his recent allegations against AEW and bashed the company over it.

Tony Khan Comments on Future of AEW Video Games

Mr. Wright Way held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about the future of AEW video games and AEW Fight Forever game.

“It was a great experience for us and now it’s going to be something for AEW, as a multi-media conglomerate and world-wide corporation, definitely, it was a great first entry with AEW Fight Forever and people can still play Fight Forever all over the world. Eventually, absolutely, we’ll keep putting AEW games into the world. Right now, we’re fully supporting that and I’m excited about Fight Forever. There are still more wrestlers and exciting things happening with the game. There are a lot of opportunities in the world of gaming.”
