Taz Makes Return to AEW Commentary on Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s taped AEW Dynamite on 34th St. show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York featured Taz making his surprise return to AEW’s commentary team.

This was Taz’s first appearance in AEW since this past October due to total knee replacement surgery.

Updated AEW Continental Classic 2024 Standings & Results

Wednesday’s taped Dynamite on 34th St. show also featured five group stage matches for this year’s Continental Classic tournament, three for the Gold League and two for the Blue League.

In regards to the Gold League, the first match was Will Ospreay defeating Brody King.

The second match was Darby Allin drawing Ricochet via a 20-minute time limit draw.

The third match was Komander defeating Claudio Castagnoli.

In regards to the Blue League, the first match was Kazuchika Okada defeating Shelton Benjamin.

The second match was Kyle Fletcher defeating Daniel Garcia.

Ricochet, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, & Kazuchika Okada Advance to Continental Classic 2024 Semifinal Round at AEW Worlds End 2024

Wednesday’s Dynamite on 34th St. show also featured Ricochet, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Kazuchika Okada advancing to the Semifinal Round of this year’s Continental Classic tournament.

Ricochet advanced as the winner of the Gold League and Ospreay advanced as the runner-up.

Fletcher advanced as the winner of the Blue League and Okada advanced as the runner-up.

Ricochet will be facing off against Okada and Fletcher will be facing off against Ospreay in the Semifinal Round of this year’s tournament at AEW’s Worlds End 2024 event, which takes place on December 28th at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
