Updated AEW Continental Classic 2024 Standings & Results

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana featured two group stage matches for this year’s Continental Classic tournament, one for the Blue League and one for the Gold League.

In regards to the Blue League, this match was Kyle Fletcher defeating Shelton Benjamin.

In regards to the Gold League, this match was Claudio Castagnoli defeating Brody King.

Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly Wins 2024 Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale Match & Advance to Finals at Winter Is Coming 2024 Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly being the co-winners of this year’s Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale match.

This match featured Cole, O’Reilly, Evil Uno, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Rocky Romero, Mark Davis, Action Andretti, The Butcher, Dante Martin, Darius Martin, and Lio Rush.

As a result of their victory, Cole and O’Reilly advance to the Finals of this year’s Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, which takes place at next week’s AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2024 show on December 11th at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The winner of next week’s Finals match will face off against MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at AEW Worlds End 2024 event on December 28th at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

Bandido Return Vignette Airs on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured a vignette being aired hyping up the upcoming return of the “Most Wanted” Bandido to AEW.

Bandido has been out of action for AEW since June of 2023 due to a broken wrist injury.


Anna Jay vs. Mercedes Mone for TBS Title Set for Dec. 18 AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash 2024 Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one new match announced for the card of Dynamite Holiday Bash 2024 show, which takes place on December 18th at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.

This new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Anna Jay vs. Mercedes Mone (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Jay calling out Mone for a title shot and Mone’s issues with Jay. During tonight’s show, Jay called out Mone once again following her victory over Penelope Ford. This led to Mone coming out and after some words, Mone stated that if Jay wants to challenge for her title, then she can come back in ten years when she’s done something to earn it. This led to Jay responding back asking if this helps and proceeded to slap Mone. This then led to Mone preparing to get in a brawl with Jay over what she just did only to have second thoughts and checked her watch motioning that she does not have the time for this and left the ring. Afterwards it was announced that this match will be taking place at AEW’s Holiday Bash 2024 show in two weeks.
