MVP Revokes Hurt Syndicate Membership Offer to Ricochet
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash 2024 show also featured MVP revoking his Hurt Syndicate membership offer to Ricochet.
During the show, Tony Schiavone was in the ring and welcomed Ricochet who came out for an interview. Schiavone talked about the change in look and attitude from Ricochet leading to Ricochet talking about how he didn’t look good before. This led to The Hurt Syndicate’s music playing to interrupt and came out to the ring. Ricochet proceeded to complement MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin and asked MVP if they saw how he beat the brakes off Komander and how he took care of Brody King. Ricochet then turned his attention to Benjamin and suggested they face each other in the future leading to Benjamin giving a puzzled reaction in return.
This led to MVP responding stating they saw all of that and asked to see the business card he gave to him. Ricochet pulled out his Hurt Syndicate card only for Lashley to grab Ricochet by the throat and MVP yanking the card away. MVP proceeded to tear up the card and stated nobody likes a “kiss-ass.” This resulted in Ricochet slowly getting out of the ring and leaving to the back but not before telling them to think about it.

In a follow-up segment, Ricochet was seen backstage being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Ricochet talked about being confused over the Hurt Syndicate rescinding their offer to him and then turned his attention towards his upcoming Continental Classic match against Will Ospreay. Ricochet stated that he came to AEW to shut the haters up and he looks to do that when he beats Ospreay for three more points in the Continental Classic. Ricochet then did an annoying laugh before noticing someone off-screen. This was revealed to be Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana. Strickland proceeded to mock Ricochet and stated that he knows the “real Trevor” who is still the same old Trevor, nothing more than a follower. Ricochet responded with some insults of his own bringing up Swerve’s House stuff and Strickland failing to win the Continental Classic last year. Ricochet stated that he will win it this year and did his annoying laugh again before walking away. Nana responded back stating that is fine and at least they aren’t bald.
