Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Winter Is Coming 2024 show at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri featured two group stage matches for this year’s Continental Classic tournament, both for the Blue League.

The first match was Kazuchika Okada defeating The Beast Mortos.

The second match was Mark Briscoe defeating Kyle Fletcher.

Willow Nightingale Advances to International Women’s Cup Match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Winter Is Coming 2024 show also featured Willow Nightingale defeating Jamie Hayter in the Finals of AEW’s Qualifiers tournament to advance to the International Women’s Cup match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.

Nightingale joins Persephone and Athena as those who have officially qualified for the International Women’s Cup Four-way match at Wrestle Dynasty, which takes place on January 5, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

Julia Hart Makes Surprise Return at AEW Collision Winter Is Coming 2024 Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Winter Is Coming 2024 show also featured Julia Hart making her official in-person return from injury to AEW.

Hart’s return had been teased in recent weeks shows following several vignettes being aired and Hart revealing that she was targeting Hayter for her return victim.

Following Willow Nightingale’s victory over Jamie Hayter in the Finals of AEW’s Qualifiers tournament for the International Women’s Cup match at Wrestle Dynasty, Nightingale left the ring leaving Hayter by herself. This led to the lights turning off and when it came back on, Hart was seen in the ring and attacked and laid out Hayter.

This was Hart’s first in-person appearance in AEW since this past April due to a shoulder injury.


AEW International & AEW Women’s Titles Matches Announced for AEW Worlds End

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured two new matches announced for the card of AEW Worlds End 2024, which takes place on December 28th at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

The first new match announced was an AEW Women’s World Championship match of Thunder Rosa vs. “The Glamour” Mariah May (c).

This match was initially setup in recent weeks shows over Rosa’s issues with May as the AEW Women’s World Champion. During tonight’s show, a video aired featuring May talking about her victory over Mina Shirakawa and Rosa’s recent issues with her. May told Rosa to name the date and place and she’d put her title on the line. In a follow-up segment, Rosa was interviewed backstage by Tony Schiavone and talked about the last time she won the Women’s title in AEW. Rosa then stated that she wants to face May for her title at Worlds End 2024. Following the segment, this match was made official for the show.

The second new match announced was an AEW International Championship match of Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Konosuke Takeshita (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows following Hobbs’ return from injury and his issues with Don Callis over how he ignored him and wanted payback in the form of Takeshita’s title. During tonight’s show, Callis was seen backstage and talked about how he had a bad night after his group’s loss to Hobbs and Mark Davis on Rampage. Callis stated that he has good news and will be happy at Worlds End when he will get his revenge when Takeshita will take out Hobbs in a title match.
