Updated AEW Continental Classic 2024 Standings & Results

Saturday’s AEW Christmas Collision show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York featured four group stage matches for this year’s Continental Classic tournament, two for the Gold League and two for the Blue League.

In regards to the Gold League, the first match was Ricochet defeating Will Ospreay.

The second match was Claudio Castagnoli defeating Darby Allin.

In regards to the Blue League, the first match was Daniel Garcia defeating Shelton Benjamin.

The second match was Mark Briscoe defeating The Beast Mortos.

Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Mone for TBS Title Set for AEW Worlds End 2024

Saturday’s AEW Christmas Collision show featured one new match set for the card of Worlds End 2024, which takes place on December 28th at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

This new match was a TBS Championship match of Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Mone (c).

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Statlander’s issues with Mone and wanting to regain her TBS title. During tonight’s show, Statlander was seen backstage being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Statlander talked about her saving Willow Nightingale from Penelope Ford on Rampage and how her downward spiral began after Mone came into the company and her losing the TBS title. Statlander then stated that she believed getting the TBS title back would lead her to getting back some of what she lost. Statlander then issued a challenge to Mone for her TBS title at Worlds End.

In a follow-up, Mone came out to the stage following Statlander’s victory over Ford and after some insults, Mone accepted Statlander’s challenge for her TBS title at Worlds End.

Saturday’s AEW Christmas Collision show also featured one new match announced for the card of next week’s AEW Dynamite on 34th St. show on December 25th.

Next week’s show will be taped on Sunday, December 22nd at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.

This new match announced was a singles match of Taya Valkyrie vs. Toni Storm.
