Mercedes Mone vs. Mina Shirakawa for NJPW Strong Women’s & RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Titles Match Set for NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty

Sunday’s Strong Style Evolved 2024 show for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California featured one new match setup for the card of NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty, which takes place on January 5, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

This new match was a NJPW Strong Women’s Championship & RevPro Undisputed Women’s Championship Title vs. Title match of Mercedes Mone (NJPW) vs. Mina Shirakawa (RevPro).

The new match was setup following Mone successfully defending her NJPW Strong Women’s title against Hazuki on the show. Following the match, Mone grabbed a microphone and gave a promo talking about her victory and missing out on Wrestle Kingdom 18 because of an injury. Mone then issued a challenge to anyone for her title at Wrestle Dynasty.

This led to Shirakawa coming out and accepted. Mone then upped the stakes by demanding for Shirakawa also put her RevPro title on the line and make it a title vs. title match between the two, which Shirakawa agreed. Afterwards, Mone and Shirakawa celebrated by dancing in the ring for a bit before Shirakawa left.
