OG Bloodline vs. Bloodline WarGames Match Set for WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2024

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Buffalo, New York featured the first match set for WWE’s Survivor Series WarGames 2024 event, which takes place on November 30th at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.

This new match was a WarGames match of OG Bloodline (The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), Sami Zayn, & Roman Reigns) vs. The Bloodline (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, & Solo Sikoa).

This match was setup following Sikoa declining Reigns challenge for a one-on-one match and issuing a challenge of his own for a WarGames match. The teams for this match was set following Zayn turning down Sikoa’s request to join his team and sided with Reigns instead.

Rhea Ripley Fractured Orbital Bone Injury Status Update

As noted before, Rhea Ripley has been out of action for WWE since this past October due to a fractured orbital bone injury.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated the current word going around within WWE is that Ripley’s injury may not be as serious as WWE officials had initially feared.

Johnson reported that WWE officials currently have Ripley penciled in for a “big role” at next year’s WrestleMania 41 event. Johnson also reported that those spoken to stated that if Ripley is able to return sooner rather than later, then WWE officials will try to keep it as quiet as possible so that she can make a huge splash for her return.


Backstage Update on WWE SmackDown Expected to Become Three Hour Weekly Show in 2025

As noted before, WWE’s SmackDown show is currently expected to expand into becoming a three-hour weekly show on USA Network starting in January of 2025. SmackDown’s move to a three-hour show is also planned expected to remain in place until at least May of 2025.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that WWE officials current plans are for SmackDown’s runtime for shows to expand to three hours.

Johnson reported that WWE officials have held recent talks regarding plans for NXT call-ups to help fill the extra hour for SmackDown and to also help fill the six-hours of weekly television between RAW and SmackDown in 2025.
