Backstage: Nathan Frazer, Axiom, Gallus

Axiom tries to figure out why Nathan Frazer is trying for the Iron Survivor match with everything going on with the tag division.

Gallus shows up behind them.

Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match
Nathan Frazer vs. Eddy Thorpe

We see other tag teams in the crowd watching this match.

They lock up and Frazer with a wrist lock.  Eddy with a reversal.  Frazer with a reversal and arm wringer for a cover.  Eddy with a waist lock take down and he sends Frazer to the mat a second time and applies a front face lock.  Eddy with a side head lock.  Frazer with a WARP thrust kick followed by an arm drag into an arm bar.  Eddy with a cross body.  Eddy with an Irish whip and a kick in the corner.  Eddy with more kicks.  Eddy with an Irish whip and Frazer floats over and flips across the ring and sends Eddy into the turnbuckles with a flatliner.  Frazer with a snap mare and a leap frog neck snap for a near fall.

Frazer checks for approval from Axiom and then he hits a suplex and gets a near fall.  Eddy with a rollup for a near fall.  Frazer with a sunset flip but Eddy rolls through and misses a kick.  Frazer gets a near fall.  Frazer with a drop kick to the arm.

The tag teams make their way toward the ring as we go to commercial.

We are back and Frazer with an elbow while Eddy applies an abdominal stretch, but remember that there are TAG TEAMS AROUND THE RING.  Frazer trips Eddy and hits a springboard moonsault and reverse DDT followed by a shooting star press for a near fall.   Frazer goes up top and Eddy crotches hiim.  Frazer with back elbows to send Eddy to the mat.  Eddy gets back up and hits a belly-to-back superplex followed by a brainbuster for a near fall.  

The tag teams start to have words with each other while Frazer sends Eddy to the floor with a head scissors.  EVERYONE NOT IN THE MATCH FIGHTS while Frazer hits a swanton onto everyone on one side of the ring.  Eddy runs Frazer into the apron and then Eddy kicks Axiom.  Eddy with a back heel kick and enzuigiri.  Frazer wtih a twisting neck breaker and he goes up top and hits a Phoenix Splash for the three count.

Winner:  Nathan Frazer via Pinfall.

After the match, the brawling continues and officials finally decide to come out since the match is over.

We go to Andre Chase.  He wanted to create a place where people felt that they belonged.  He found people who shared that vision.  Chase says he understands the risks with tonight’s match but he is used to taking risks.  It started with him and Thea and then it grew to the MVP.  Thea won her first match.  They sold out a calendar because of his actions.  Riley Osborne broke out.  Thea won a battle royal to challenge for the NXT Women’s Title.  They won tag team gold.  The lessons they have shared and the moments they have made will not go anywhere.  He is not going to let anyone or anything take that away.

Tonight he becomes the number one contender.

Video: Giulia

Giulia says life in America is different from Japan.  She says she is loving her time in America and learning a new culture.  NXT is learning about her.  She had no background in martial ars when she started, but she would do whatever it took to win.  The fans in Japan called what she did ‘Beautiful Madness’.  Chaos and creativity describes her.  The other four women in the Iron Survivor Match will learn that beautiful madness.

Backstage: Kelani Jordan, Mr. Stone, Stevie Turner

Kelani Jordan is with Stevie and Stone.

Kelani says she is going to prove she is one of the best.  She says she wants to face Giulia next week in a Qualifier match.

Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match
Jaida Parker vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Split-screen video: Stephanie says Jaida is in her way.  She says she is the best luchadora.  After she beats Roxanne, she will be the new NXT Women’s Champion.

Parker with a slam and Vaquer with a waist lock.  Parker with a wrist lock.  Jaida with an arm wringer.  Parker sends Vaquer to the mat and then hits a shoulder tackle.  Parker with an Irish whip but she misses a hip.  Vaquer with a rollup for a near fall.  Vaquer with a rollup and bridge for a near fall.  Vaquer with a double wrist lock.  Vaquer stomps on the elbow.  Parker sends Vaquer into the turnbuckle but Vaquer with a triangle in the ropes.  Vaquer with a springboard cross body but Parker catches her and hits a back breaker.  Parker sends Vaquer into the ropes in the corner and Parker with a springboard seated splash to Vaquer.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Vaquer misses a splash into the corner and Parker gets a near fall after a lungblower.  Parker with a forearm to the lower back.  Parker with a forearm to the lower back.  Vaquer with forearms to Jaida and Jaida with a forearm to the lower back.  Parker with a reverse suplex for a near fall.  Parker stretches Vaquer and ties her up in an uncomfortable position.  Vaquer gets to her feet and she tries to reverse it but Jaida rolls through and connects with a forearm.  Parker with a reverse chin lock.  Vaquer with a jaw breaker and Eat Defeat.  Vaquer with a running double knee striek and a snap mare.  Vaquer with a head scissors and she drives her head into the mat.  Vaquer gets a near fall.  

Parker with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall.  Parker sets for another reverse suplex but Vaquer lands on her feet and she gets a near fall with a rollup.  Parker with a gourdbuster and she sets for the running hip but Lola Vice walks to the ring with her brick.  Vaquer with a super kik and the package bak breaker for the three count.

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer via Pinfall.

Backstage: Brinley Reece, Dion Lennox

Dion tells Brinley they are going to take care of business tonight.  Brinley says she is ready for this match.

Video: Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca

Roxanne Perez is at the beach and she says she was going to take a vacation.  She says she will relax while everyone tries to follow in her footsteps.  She wishes the other women luck in the privilege to lose to her.

Sol Ruca shows up and says it is great that she is taking a vacation.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Brooks Jensen

They lock up and go around the ring.  Tony with a side head lock.  Tony with a shoulder tackle and slam.  Tony with a side head lock.  Brooks backs Tony into the ropes and Brooks with a forearm on the break.  Tony with a running forearm and then he punches Brooks.  Brooks with a sleeper into a rear naked choke.  Tony runs into an elbow and then Brooks drops Tony on the top rope and follows with kicks.  Brooks with an elbow drop and he gets a near fall.  Brooks returns to the sleeper and he gets on Tony’s back.  Tony with an elbow to get out of the body scissors and he gets to his feet.  Tony goes over the top rope and he sends Brooks to the floor while Tony gets back into the ring.  Tony with a forearm to the back.

They return to the ring and Tony with punches and a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a second one.  Tony goes for a spinebuster but Brooks counters with a Codebreaker for a near fall.  Brooks runs into a spinebuster for the three count.

Winner:  Tony D’Angelo via Pinfall.

After the match, Spears offers his hand to Tony and Tony shakes it.

Brooks clips Tony and Spears smirks.

Backstage: Karmen Petrovic, Ashante “Thee” Adonis

Adonis and Karmen are in LOCKER ROOM.  Adonis says Karmen looks good in crimson and gray.  Karmen says they need to put their differences aside to get their hands raised.

Backstage: Lexis King, Yoshiki Inamura, Josh Briggs

We are back and Lexis King says he is trying to be the best version of himself.  He says he is winning over the fans and it will take time to get them all.  He thanks Inamura for listening to him.

Josh Briggs asks what was that about and he says he doesn’t know.

The tag team brawl continues in WAREHOUSE.

Inamura says that is his kind of crazy.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Brinley Reece & Dion Lennox vs. Karmen Petrovic & Ashante “Thee” Adonis

The women start things off but Adonis tags himself in so it means the men will start.  Karmen tags herself in so the women will get a chance.  Adonis tags himself in and then Karmen does the same.  Reece with a rollup for a near fall.  Reece with a back slide for a near fall.  Reece with a wrist lock and Karmen with an arm bar.  Reece goes for an arm drag but Karmen blocks it.  Adonis tags in and Dion with a hip toss and a second one.  Adonis with a kick and drop kick.  Dion with a back body drop and drop kick.  Dion with a running clothesline into the corner.  Dion almost hits Karmen on the apron when she was out of the corner.  Adonis pulls Dion into the ropes when Dion goes for an O’Connor Roll.  Adonis with puches.

Dion and Adonis with clotheslines at the same time and they both go down.  The women tag in and Reece with clotheslines and a round off clothesline.  Reece gets Karmen on her shoulders but Reece gets to her feet.  Reece with a rollup and Adonis asks for a kiss but Reece punches Adonis.  Karmen with a round kick for the three count.

Winner: Karmen Petrovic & Ashante “Thee” Adonis via Pinfall.

After the math, Adonis and Karmen celebrate and the referee stops anything else from happening.

Backstage: Ridge Holland

Sarah is with Ridge Holland.  She asks him about his match against Andre Chase.  

Ridge talks about everything he did for Chase University.  He says he destroyed Duke, crushed Riley, and put Chase in an ambulance.  He wants one more chance.  After tonight, Duke, Thea, and Riley will have no father figure.  Ridge says he is going to Deadline and Chase U dies.

We are back with a look at the Iron Survivor Match.

Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match
Wren Sinclair vs. Zaria

Wren with a waist lock and Zaria with a standing switch and a waist lock take down.  Zaria blocks a single leg take down and she goes for a back drop and Wren lands on her feet.  Charlie gives Wren some advice and Zaria catches Wren and goes for a slam but Wren gets free.  Zaria blocks an O’Connor Roll and a sunset flip.  Zaria sends Wren into the corner and hits a splash.  Zaria with a suplex and she rolls through for a one arm suplex and she gets a near fall.  Zaria gets Wren on her shoulders but Wren escapes and hits a drop kick but Zaria blocks a second one.  Wren counters a suplex with an inside cradle for a near fall.  

Zaria with a clothesline that sends her and Wren over the top rope to the floor.  Charlie has some words for Zaria and the distraction allows Wren to hit a suicide dive.  Wren with chops and a flying clothesline.  Wren with an X Factor and a drop kick that sends Zaria into the corner.  Zaria with a short arm clothesline to stop Wren’s momentum.  Zaria with a waist lock but Wren with a victory roll for a near fall.  Zaria runs into a back elbow in the corner.  Wren leaps over Zaria but she cannot avoid the spear.  Zaria with an F5 for the three count.

Winner:  Zaria via Pinfall.

Backstage: Ava, Tony D’Angelo, Eddy Thorpe

We are back and Tony tells Ava he wants a title match after what happened last week.

Eddy Thorpe shows up and complains about the mayhem during his match.

Tony says he wants this match and Ava says if he is cleared he gets his match.

Ava tells Eddy he cannot do anything about it and Eddy says that Tony gets what he wants and Spears interferes and he gets a title match.  Eddy leaves.

In-Ring: Fatal Influence, Meta-Four, Nikkita Lyons, Adriana Rizzo, Tatum Paxley

Jacy says everyone knows that NXT has the strongest women’s division but the first three women to know that are in the ring.  They have been ahead of the curve.  They were going to make sure they were at the top of the women’s division.  Fallon says you stay at the top by holding one of the titles.  Fallon says everyone should be talking about what she did last week.  Jazmyn says they proved their point last week.  They are above any athlete.

Fallon says there is no one else to worry about or she could be a fightning champion.  How about an open challenge.  It will be next week.

Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson come out an Lash says if there is going to be an open challenge next week, they are going to get a piece of that.

Jacy and Jazmyn go to the floor and . . . 

Nikkita Lyons comes out and she tells Lash to go to the back of the line and she will see her next week.

Rizzo attacks Lyons and then everyone else outsdie the ring starts to fight.  More women come out to fiht and officials show that they can’t separate the women as well as they separate the tag teams.

Everyhing appears to be under control and Tatum Paxley shows up behind Fallon and hits the Psycho Trap.

Tatum holds the title belt.

Backstage: Brooks Jensen, Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Karmen Petrovic, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Nikkita Lyons

Brooks asks Spears if that is what he wanted.

Niko tells Spears he got his title match.  Spears says things ae lining up.

Karmen and Adonis speak at the same time and then Karmen says she thinks they did a good job together.  Adonis asks if it is outside the ring.

Nikkita Lyons says she is waiting for that text back as she is escorted away.

Karmen realizes that Adonis is playing her and she walks away while Adonis says he never texted her.

We are back with another Iron Survivor video package, for the men.

Video: “All Ego” Ethan Page

Ethan Page says the prize for winning the Iron Survivor Match is what intrigues him.  There is no one who wants to see him challenge for the NXT title and that is when he is at his best.  That uneasy feeling in your stomach?  That is him picking his spots.  It doesn’t matter when he starts, he has to end with the most falls.

Backstage: Nathan Frazer, Axiom

Axiom says Ethan won’t qualify next week and Frazer asks why.  Axiom says he is Page’s opponent next week.  Frazer wants to know why is Axiom in the match and Axio says if Frazer doesn’t care about the tag division coming after them, he went to Ava for a match.  Frazer says he is impressed and Axiom thanks him for caring.  Frazer asks what happens if Axiom qualifies and they will have to face each other at Deadline.

Video: Andre Chase, Chase U

Andre Chase is in the classroom and he says this has put things in perspective.  Chase says he has been hard on you, some more than others.  Andre apologizes . . . for absolutely nothing.  He says there are two things for sure in life.  He is going to give Ridge Holland an Andre Chase University sized Ass Whooping and he is on his way to be the NXT Men’s Champion.

NXT Championship #1 Contender Match
Ridge Holland vs. Andre Chase

Chase with a chop and punches.  Chase with a kick and he sends Ridge into the turnbuckles a few times.  Chase with a chop but Ridge with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and a splash into the corner.  Ridge with another over the head belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall.  Ridge with another overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Ridge with a fourth overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Ridge pulls up the mats at ringside while we see STUDENTS watching in BACK.

Chase blocks a power bomb onto the floor and he gets to the apron.  Chsae with a thrust kick and a cannonball off the apron.

Wd go to commercial.

We are back and Chase is down as Ridge goes up top.  Ridge misses a diving head butt when Chase moves.  Chase with a back elbow and a boot to the head.  Chase with a swinging neck breaker.  Chase goes for a power bomb but Ridge blocks it.  Chase with knees to the head and he sets for the power bomb one more time.  Ridge misses a clothesline but he hits the second one.  Ridge with a gutwrench Dominator for a near fall.  Ridge rolls to the floor and he grabs a chair.  The referee takes the chair and Ridge uses that opportunity to kick Chase in the ding ding.  Ridge with Redeemer but Duke and Thea pull the referee out of the ring.

Duke punches Ridge and he runs Ridge into the corner.  Duke with more punches and Ridge goes to the floor.  Duke with a forearm and Ridge fires back.  Duke sets for a power bomb on the floor but Ridge runs Duke through the flimsiest cylinder in sports entertainment.  Riley with a flip dive and he catches Thea as well.  Riley sends Ridge back into the ring while the referee continues his nap.  Ridge gets Riley on his shoudlers and he press slams Riley to the floor.

Ridge signals that it is over and Chase gets to his feet and the referee has awakened from his nap.  Chase with punches and Chase with a side Russian leg sweep.  Chase with the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp and then he hits a Side Effect for a near fall.  Chase goes to the turnbuckles and Ridge with a forearm to stop him.  Ridge sets for a superplex but Andre goes under and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall.   Chase goes up top and he hits a cross boy but Ridge rolls through and he hits Redeemer for the three count.

Winner:  Ridge Holland via Pinfall.

Chase sees the damage that he caused with his loss for the only three students that have been identified who are still part of WWE.
