Nick Aldis Comments on His WWE Debut in October 2023 & Segment with Dominik Mysterio

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured NIck Aldis as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Aldis’ thoughts about making his official debut in WWE in October of 2023 and his debut segment involving Dominik Mysterio.

“If ‘Dirty’ Dom Mysterio hadn’t been in that segment, it would have been a much more difficult position for me to get that one thing, which was the ‘big fan of your dad’ line.’ When I was looking over it during the day, I’m brand new, but I’m also a producer so I have a bit of freedom and leeway to make suggestions. I remember looking at the way it was laid out, and I saw the suggestion of ‘big fan.’ I was like, ‘What if I put a pause in there?’ In my mind, that’s my sense of humor and shit-talker style. ‘Big fan…of your dad.’ I said it and Hunter and whoever was around at the time laughed. I was like, ‘That might work.’ Looking at it, the segment isn’t necessarily about me. I’m here to facilitate.

At the same time, I’ve got ten seconds to smash something. That’s it. That’s my kick-the-door-down moment. I knew I had to do that. I knew the majority of people watching didn’t know who I was. I would have loved to debuted in Chicago or New York or Philly where there may have been a higher concentration of fans who were familiar. Tulsa, Oklahoma, not what I would describe as my strongest market, brother, but I’ll take it. Dom has so much heat and he’s the guy you love to hate. That is the sweet spot, especially in the modern era, that’s the sweet spot as a heel character. You have to be the guy they love to hate. It’s hard now to have real heat because real heat becomes, ‘is it real?’ We don’t want to have a disclaimer, ‘Oh, it’s not real.’ That ruins the whole thing. You have to be a guy they love to hate. That’s Dirty Dom.”

Titus O’Neil Comments on Future of His In-Ring Wrestling Career

A recent episode of The Business of the Business podcast featured Titus O’Neil as the guest. One of the topics discussed included O’Neil’s thoughts about if he has the itch to wrestle again in WWE and the future of his in-ring wrestling career.

“I do get the itch to get back in the ring, I love competing. I love entertaining, but as I said in previous interviews, if there’s an opportunity that works well for me to do so, yeah, we’ll definitely do it, but I’m literally getting ready to do two or three other film projects. I already did two film projects that will be coming out in 2025. I do desire to have a high level of success in Hollywood, much like my fellow WWE stars that have made that jump, including one of my best friends who got me into the business, Dave Bautista. I am really excited about that process. I have some great people to follow, I have some great people to lean on in John Cena and Dave Bautista, to ask questions and to get kind of the best practices to help me on this journey, much like I would pick the brains of many of the veterans when it came to wrestling, I do the same thing, and fortunately, I have a lot of people that are already in Hollywood that are friends of mine that can kind of who help me continue developing in that journey.”
