WWE: Liv Morgan on Becoming First Ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, Triple H on WWE & Saudi Partnership Being “Here To Stay”, New Match Set for 11/4 RAW Show

Liv Morgan Comments on Becoming First Ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion

Saturday’s WWE Crown Jewel 2024 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia featured Liv Morgan defeating Nia Jax to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Following the show, WWE held a Crown Jewel 2024 post-show stream featuring Morgan as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Morgan’s thoughts on her victory and becoming the first ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.

“Amazing. Ever since I started in WWE, all I really wanted was to give myself an opportunity to see how great I could become. This moment is not lost on me, I know this is so much bigger than me. Every single time we come to Saudi Arabia, the progress is so much more and more, whether it’s Nattie and Lacey Evans having the very first women’s wrestling match here to Becky Lynch and Lita being the first women to be featured on a billboard here, to now Nia Jax and I making history, competing in the very first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match. So not only am I the greatest women’s world champion of all time, but now I am the very first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.”

Triple H Comments on WWE’s Partnership with Saudi Arabia Being “Here To Stay”

Saturday’s WWE Countdown to Crown Jewel 2024 Kickoff show featured WWE Paul “Triple H” Levesque as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Levesque’s thoughts about WWE’s current working partnership with the Saudi Arabian government for their Saudi events.

“We love this partnership here. This all stems from his excellency’s vision to bring the best entertainment from around the world. When we first started here, I think fans were excited, but they didn’t know what to necessarily expect. Over that time, I’ve seen that change exponentially. We had the first women’s match here in Saudi Arabia. It went from us asking, ‘Can we bring women here?’ To them being on billboards all over the city, to the GEA and his excellency calling us and saying, ‘Don’t feel like there’s enough women on this show. Can we have more women put into the show?’ It speaks to the progress here in Saudi Arabia, but it speaks to the fan base, and it speaks to the power of WWE as a truly global brand.”

Levesque also gave his thoughts about his vision for the future of WWE in the region.

“One thing about WWE that I know, we never look at what we’ve done before. We always look at how can we make it better. So now matter what the show is, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Crown Jewel, we’re always looking at, as soon as it’s over, we’re looking at, ‘Okay, how can we make this show bigger for next year?’ Simple way to put it is just overdelivering every time we come here, and making sure that when we leave here, people not only feel like they got to see the greatest show they could, but that they know when we come here again, it’s gonna be even better.”
