Kofi Kingston Comments on Odyssey Jones Removal & Hoping Big E is Part of New Day’s 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

The New York Post held a recent interview with Kofi Kingston. One of the topics discussed included Kingston’s thoughts about Odyssey Jones’ abrupt removal from New Day and WWE television.

“One of the main lessons that I’ve learned is that you never know what tomorrow is going to bring with WWE. You always have to be ready to adjust at the drop of a hat. There have been times where we have known what’s going to happen at a Monday Night Raw for weeks and we work towards that, and then we get into the building, and then all of a sudden, we’re doing the exact opposite. And it’s your ability to adjust and roll with the punches that pulls you up. Nothing ever goes as planned. So all that to say, you know, once Odyssey (Jones) was out of the mix, we just had to figure out a way to pivot and keep the story going and keep on moving forward, because, as they say, the show must go on. And you figure out the best ways to adjust.”

Kingston also gave his thoughts about him being hopeful that Big E can be part of New Day’s 10 Year Anniversary celebration this month.

“I don’t think that we can have a New Day celebration without Big E there. It wouldn’t feel right. It wouldn’t taste right, you know? So I’m hoping he’s available. But like I said, man, he’s busy doing a lot of things out there. I don’t know what his schedule is gonna look like, but hopefully he will be there. It would feel incomplete if he was not involved in The New Day 10-year anniversary in some way. He had so much to do with the foundations of The New Day and what people think of when they think of The New Day. There’s still people to this day that when they see us, you know, like, hey, New Day. They put their hand on their head. They put their hand on their hip as they twirl their hips, just like he did, you know? So, yeah, yeah, I would be willing to bet he’s going to be a part of it in some way, shape or form.”

Nick Aldis Comments on His Contract Status with WWE & Wanting to Wrestle Again “At Least Once”

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured current SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Aldis confirming he is currently under a talent and employee contracts with WWE.

“I didn’t have any job then (last time we spoke). Now I have two… The producer and a talent. I have two contracts. An employee contract as a producer and a talent contract for the General Manager role… Something like that (Aldis jokingly responded when asked if he’s getting double pay).”

Aldis also gave his thoughts about him not being at peace with his in-ring career being over and wanting to wrestle at least one more time.

“I guess (by accepting WWE General Manager role, I’m saying goodbye to my in-ring career). But I also don’t — I don’t necessarily see it like that, 100 percent. I see it more as a sort of, you know, maybe not a full-time wrestler. But I don’t know. Look, it gets asked all the time, by everyone except me. I have never once said, hey, what about me? Could I wrestle? And all that because I don’t need to. If and when the time comes, it’ll be what they want and it will hopefully be the right time. I just told them that if you wanna do that, I’m ready.

In all honesty, no (I’m not at peace with the career I’ve had). I would like to lace ‘em up. I don’t care if it’s on a regular basis but, I’ve earned it, once. I don’t know (if that means more than once). If it was one more time, so be it. Like I said, I feel like I meet the criteria to be on that canvas at least once… (My bicep is) 100 percent.”

Cody Rhodes Comments on “I Know Who The Rock Will Come for When He Returns to WWE

Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez held a recent interview with Cody Rhodes. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about the recent rumors of The Rock would not be a part of WrestleMania 41 and his belief that he knows who The Rock will target for his return again to WWE.

“Well, I mean, I mean this and I don’t mean this in a like a smart Alec type way, but Rock is the director of the board. The man that is The Final Boss, Dwayne Johnson, is different from The Final Boss and his outside the box thinking with Nick Khan and Triple H, is part of WWE’s record era, part of this WWE Netflix era so in whether he’s in the ring or whether he’s not, he very much is still very involved with what happens at 41. I know when he comes back, I know who he’ll come looking for, I know what to expect. But what I can say about WrestleMania 41 is keep the rumors going, keep them churning, enjoy the discourse, but i think what you will get will surprise you all.”
