Becky Lynch Wrestling Break & WWE Return Plans Update
As noted before, Becky Lynch’s contract with WWE expired this past June and has been on a break from wrestling but is believed to be returning to WWE in the future.
This past Sunday’s Vulture Festival 2024 event for Vulture Festival in Los Angeles, California featured a panel with Lynch as the guest. During her panel, Lynch provided an update on the future of her wrestling career stating that she does not know when she will be return to wrestling.
“Lads. Ah, you know, I’m training for this half marathon. I’ve been working on some other stuff that I can’t really talk about. If you think the way that I’m going to go out, after the career that I’ve had, is with Dominik Mysterio slamming a door in my face, well that’s probably not going to happen. When will that comeback (be)? I don’t know. I don’t know. I’ve really been enjoying myself and working on some projects that I’m very excited about. Whenever I get to share them with you, I think they’re pretty awesome and I think you’ll think they are pretty awesome. We will see what the future holds.”
In regards to potential plans for Lynch’s return to WWE, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources spoken to within WWE stated that they have no idea where the rumors of Lynch returning ahead of their WWE RAW premiere show on Netflix originated from. Sapp reported that those spoken to stated that they believe the two sides will be working together again in the future.
While those spoken to had denied there being current plans for Lynch to return for the RAW premiere show on Netflix, Sapp speculated that this is something that could still happen and would not surprise him if it did.

Former WWE talent MVP recently reflected on Twitter about The Hurt Business not getting back together again in WWE and how former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wanted to turn the group into a Nation of Domination 2.0. In a now deleted tweet, MVP stated “There was a moment during the “PC Era” when the old man wanted to turn “The Hurt Business” into NOD 2.0. He even brought in Mark & Ron. We fought him on it. Our group was NEVER about RACE. It’s always been about our organic friendship and desire to make money doing what we love!” In a follow-up tweet, MVP responded to a fan question about the reason why the group did not reunite when WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over was due to him always avoiding talks for it. In a recent interview with the Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg podcast, Jey Uso gave his thoughts about him wanting to have another WrestleMania match against his brother Jimmy Uso in the future due to the bad taste left in his mouth after their match at WrestleMnaia 40. Uso stated “To be honest, I would like to run it back with my brother one more time. I would like to. Left a little bad taste in my mouth with [WrestleMania XL]. I know what we can do. The fans have no damn clue, but me and my brother know. Hell yeah, we would have stole the show. Just, things happen. We’re all a team.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent press conference held by the University of Minnesota Gopher’s wrestling team, former WWE wrestler Gable Steveson gave his thoughts about his recent time in WWE and how his WWE career did not work out for him in the end. Steveson stated “I think, WWE just wasn’t the right time. I have a competitive edge to me. They knew that, and it was not the time for it. Maybe one day, if the stars align, it would be a great opportunity to do it again. I have no bad feelings with it. I have no bad blood with it. I would like to keep moving forward with everything I have going on.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent interview with SEN, Xavier Woods gave his thoughts about his reasons why he believes that New Day is the greatest tag team of all-time in wrestling. Woods stated “I’m going to say we’re the most decorated tag team in the history of WWE. We’re the longest-tenured without any sort of hiccups or offshoots. Kind of, objectively, we’re the best. Just saying. If (Ric) Flair is the best because he has 16 title reigns, then I think we’re at the top of the list. That longevity, I think it comes from everybody on the team focusing on what’s best for the team. That’s always been the objective. It hasn’t ever been, ‘I need to do XYZ, so I can become King of the Ring.’ That’s a secondary objective. What is this going to do for the team? Everything that we’re doing is for the team, then I will eventually reach my objective.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
