Karl Anderson Shoulder Injury Update
As noted before, Karl Anderson underwent surgery earlier this week and will be out of action for the next several months.
A recent episode of the TalkNShop podcast featured co-host Anderson providing details on his injury stating that he had suffered a torn rotator cuff and a partially torn labrum and is currently expected to be out of action for the next six to nine months.
“It happened two months ago, I felt something in a match, and didn’t think anything of it because that’s what we do. The next week, something else happened in a match again. ‘That hurt a little worse,’ but still thought nothing of it because that’s how we’ve always rolled. We had three or four more matches, and each other, progressively, I realized, ‘This thing hurts.’ I wasn’t able to sleep at night because it was aching and throbbing. ‘Let me tell somebody.’ I talked to the WWE doctors who handled it right away and they immediately scheduled me for an anthrogram. They immediately saw it was a torn rotator cuff tendon and a partially torn labrum.”

TKO President Mark Shapiro Comments on Recent Meeting with Vince McMahon
CNBC Sport held a recent interview with TKO President Mark Shapiro. One of the topics discussed included Shapiro revealing that he had a recent meeting with former TKO and WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon.
“I had breakfast with him a few weeks ago, just to check in, it’s been a long time. Haven’t heard from him at all. Obviously, the series on Netflix came out. I wanted to see kind of where he was. He couldn’t have been more cooperative. He couldn’t have been nicer. He was a total pro at breakfast. It’s a one on one get together, but he’s out of the business entirely. He doesn’t make decisions. He’s not on the board. He doesn’t opine. We don’t consult him. He’s got some litigation that he’s working through, and frankly, he wants the privacy and the time to work through it, which is great. In the meantime, we’re going to keep building TKO and WWE, expanding the horizon and expanding the opportunities. He’s still a shareholder, not the shareholder he once was, but still a shareholder.”
Shapiro also gave his thoughts about McMahon being supportive of the direction WWE has gone since his departure.
“Couldn’t have been more positive, but I wasn’t asking for his opinion.”
