Diamond Dallas Page Comments on Him Not Having Time for Another Match But “I Have A Couple of Diamond Cutters in Me”
Metro held a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page. One of the topics discussed included DDP’s thoughts about him not being interested in wrestling another match for his career.
“My life is so full I don’t have time for any of that. I’m five months from 69 years young. My body – I’m still a Ferrari. I just got nine or 98,000 miles on me [laughs]. So you know, are there a couple of Diamond Cutters in me? Yeah – and if they ever need it, I’m there. But as far as [a] match, I’m good.”
DDP also gave his thoughts about being back in the fold with WWE again.
“Going in the Hall of Fame was huge, and it broke down a lot of those walls and barriers, and I still didn’t feel like I was family until these last couple of pay-per-views. I think Triple H has everything to do with that. He wants the legends to be recognized for paving the way.”

In a recent Ask Eric Live! episode on AdFreeShows.com, Eric Bischoff gave his thoughts about his current creative plans for his involvement at MLW’s One Shot 2024 event on December 5th in New York City. Bischoff stated “We’re actually having our first official creative morning tomorrow morning to take a look at the format, take a look at what we’re planning on doing right now and then we’re gonna work together and I’m gonna sprinkle some Bischoff dust on it. I’d like to — I’ve already been thinking about the cold open. Opens are a part of the program now that, sometimes at very best they’re serviceable, but in my opinion, show opens are missing the boat by a mile. There’s a lot of opportunity to pre-sell your audience on the show before it even starts but you got to set it up right. Capture their imagination and get their interest right off the bat. So I want to do that. I want to take a close look at how they’re doing their backstage promos or any of their in-ring promos because there’s different ways to do that. Jason and I used to do it over in TNA towards the end of our run there, it’s a very effective way to kind of bring that story forward without doing the traditional standup with one person with the stick doing the Mean Gene bit with two talents that aren’t really that great at what they do anyway trying to be good actors. I want to thread — whatever our main event ends up being, I want this story to be front and center from the beginning of the show to the end of the show. I don’t want anybody getting up to take a piss and forgetting what the main event is, I want them glued to their seat for it. That’s a challenge for me because I talk a lot about these things when we critique WWE or AEW in particular, I talk a lot about these things but now I’m gonna actually have a chance to do them and see how it affects the quality of the show. People may hate it, I don’t know. Those are the things I’m looking forward to. In terms of the in-ring stuff, who’s wrestling who and all of that, this is a one shot only, I’m not here to book a storyline for six months, so my goal is to take whatever they have planned and try to tilt it 15 or 20 degrees in my direction and see if it feels any different.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
