AEW: Eddie Kingston Broken Leg Injury Update, Mark Davis Reportedly Cleared for In-Ring Return, Marko Stunt on Killswitch & Jack Perry “Pushed for Me Like Crazy” in AEW

As noted before, Eddie Kingston has been out of action for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling since this past May due to a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries and underwent surgery this past July.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that Kingston was originally believed to have suffered a broken leg injury but it was discovered that he had actually suffered an ACL and meniscus tear injuries that required surgery.

Sapp reported that Kingston is currently expected to be out of action until either Spring or Summer of 2025 at the earliest.

Mark Davis Reportedly Cleared for In-Ring Return

As noted before, Aussie Open’s Mark Davis made his surprise return from a broken wrist injury at last week’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite show in Cleveland, Ohio.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources close to Davis stated confirmed that he was recently medically cleared for an in-ring return.

Davis last wrestled at AEW’s WrestleDream 2023 event in October of 2023.

Marko Stunt Comments on Killswitch & Jack Perry “Pushed for Me Like Crazy” in AEW

A recent episode of the Love Wrestling podcast featured former AEW and indies wrestler Marko Stunt as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Stunt’s thoughts about Killswitch (Luchasaurus) and Jack Perry had pushed for him “like crazy” in AEW and his close friendship with the two.

“I think immediately, my mind goes to the match where Luchasaurus got hurt… and it ended up being me and Jack (Perry) versus The Lucha Brothers. That was a huge night for me. There’s always gonna be those negative comments and stuff and that happens but, the amount of love and support that I got after that night, it felt like something turned around for a minute there and to be honest, the reason behind that has a lot to do with Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus, both on-screen and off-screen, literally, he’s like a protector. No work or anything. He looked out for me. He was always one of the ones — him and Jack both — but Luchasaurus was one of the main ones that made that tag match happen. He’s like, ‘No. Let Marko do it,’ and dude, man, what could have been with Luchasaurus?

I say this biasedly and I can’t imagine how many people are gonna disagree, but I firmly believe that we are — we were one of the most dynamic groups in all of wrestling… I still think there could be something there, but that’s just my brain goes into creative mode all the time… Luchasaurus is a big reason for a lot of the stuff that I did. Him and Jack pushed for me like crazy. Everybody says we were Jurassic — they were Jurassic Express. They were Jurassic Express and I was with Jurassic Express. I was lucky to be with Jurassic Express. I loved being with Jurassic Express.

I mean, we’re actual friends. It worked out to be able to go out there, and just as friends, go out there and be a team because we’re already a team behind the scenes so it’s easier to be a team on-screen and I still talk to both of them, like quite frequently. They both reached out after I made the post and everything, and I talked to Luchasaurus for probably an hour on the phone, and it was a very good conversation.”

Stunt also revealed that William Regal also had reached out to him after his wrestling career retirement announcement.

“William Regal reached out to me after I posted everything and he sent me a long message and I thanked him and everything… The last thing he said was, ‘No need to thank me. If there had not been somebody to guide me at 16 years old, I wouldn’t have been able to do the same thing for you. So, pass it along,’ and that’s what I wanna do. That’s what I wanna do…”
