Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley Set for AEW Full Gear 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Manchester, New Hampshire featured one new match announced for the card of AEW Full Gear 2024, which takes place on November 23rd at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

This new match announced was a singles match of Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley.

This match was setup following a promo segment involving The Hurt Syndicate and Strickland. During the show, The Hurt Syndicate came out to the ring for an interview only for MVP to quickly take over and saying he doesn’t need Tony Schiavone to be around for this. This led to footage being shown of The Hurt Syndicate’s attack on Strickland and Prince Nana on last week’s show.

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Kip Sabian officially becoming the newest member of The Patriarchy.

During the show, The Patriarchy and Sabian came out to the ring. Christian Cage grabbed a microphone and officially welcomed Sabian to the Patriarchy. Cage stated that everything Sabian had been doing of late was to get his attention as he is a “fatherless loser” in need of guidance. Cage stated that one thing stood out above all else and directed everyone’s attention to the big screen. This led to a video airing of Cage attempting to sign his AEW World title match contract to cash-in last month only to be prevented by Sabian who stole his pen and ran off to the back and Cage prevented from chasing him after confronting Moxley’s group backstage. After the video ended, Cage stated that Sabian’s actions kept him from getting attacked by Moxley’s group had he tried to cash in and lose the contract forever, making him still the undisputed next AEW World Champion. Cage then embraced in a huge with Sabian before being interrupted by HOOK’s music.

This led to Hobbs’ music playing revealing him as the mystery partner.

Following Ricochet & Hobbs’ victory, Fletcher attacked Hobbs & Ricochet with a chair leading to Mark Davis running out to confront Fletcher only for the Don Callis Family’s Lance Archer & Brian Cage to run out next and attacked Davis.
