Billy Corgan Comments on Future of The NWA
Tuesday’s NWA Powerrr show on Twitter featured National Wrestling Alliance owner Billy Corgan making an appearance.
This week’s episode focused on NWA’s 76th Anniversary Show that was taped this past August. During the show, Corgan gave a promo about the future of the NWA.
“I bought this company to bring it back to the top – and we are going to do that. Because as long as I own the National Wrestling Alliance, we aren’t going anywhere. We can’t be stopped. We are wrestling history. We are wrestling as it’s meant to be. And if any man wants to come out and try to take the NWA from me, he’ll have to do it or she’ll have to do it out of my cold, dead hands.”

Tetsuya Naito Comments on Not Wanting Zack Sabre Jr. to Achieve All of His NJPW Goals Yet Due to Him Not Wanting Sabre Jr. to Leave
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Tetsuya Naito. One of the topics discussed included Naito’s thoughts about his upcoming match with Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling 2024 event and him not wanting Sabre Jr. to achieve all of his goals in New Japan Pro Wrestling yet due to him not wanting Sabre Jr. to leave.
“Of course, first and foremost, it’s for my own sake (reasons why I can’t lose IWGP World Title to Zack Sabre Jr.). But for the sake of the Japanese fans who support Zack, and for the sake of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, I have to stop him here.
I think the Tokyo Dome main event was one of the goals of everyone. It is natural for people to move on to the next stage after achieving a goal, so it is possible that Zack will do the same. But I don’t want that to happen to him, as he is loved in Japan. That’s why I think it’s better not to let him achieve all of his goals yet.
I think it’s great (that Sabre Jr. is settled in Japan & is speaking Japanese), but I’m not without concerns. How many foreign wrestlers have said they love Japan like Zack does, and that New Japan is their home?…”
