Four New Matches & Special Guest Referee for TNA World Title Announced for TNA Bound For Glory 2024

TNA Wrestling announced four new matches and one new updated match for the card of their Bound For Glory 2024 event, which takes place on October 26th at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan.

In regards to the new matches, The first new match announced was a TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match of Rosemary & Wendy Choo vs. Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna) (c).

The second new match announced was a TNA X-Division Championship match of El Hijo del Vikingo vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey (c).

The third new match announced was a singles match of Josh Alexander vs. Steve Maclin.

The fourth new match announced was a 20-Person Call Your Shot Gauntlet match. It was announced that this match will be taking place on Bound For Glory’s pre-show.

In regards to the newly updated match, this was announced to be a TNA World Championship Special Guest Referee match of Joe Hendry vs. Nic Nemeth (c). Frankie Kazarian revealed at the end of Thursday’s Impact show that he will be the special guest referee for this match.

Steph De Lander Neck Injury Update – De Lander Says She Has “New Neck” After Neck Fusion Surgery

As noted before, Steph De Lander has been out of action for TNA Wrestling and the indies since this past September due to a neck injury and surgery to repair it.

De Lander provided an update on Thursday on Twitter stating that she feels like she has a “new neck” following her recent neck fusion surgery on her C5 and C6 vertebrae.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

As noted before, former Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff passed away this past Tuesday at the age of 73. Former ROH owner Sinclair Broadcast Group aired a tribute to the late Koff on their Fox 45 station in Baltimore, Maryland.

Game Changer Wrestling reportedly recently signed a new streaming deal with TrillerTV, according to Fightful Select. It was reported that their sources stated that GCW’s new deal is for two-years in length and continues their partnership with TrillerTV since 2022.

As noted before, former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr. was charged this in April of 2023 with several criminal charges by the United States Department of Justice over his involvement in embezzling welfare funds as part of a larger welfare scandal in the State of Mississippi. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that several motions were recently filed in DiBiase Jr.’s criminal case but details of these motions are currently not known due to them being sealed by the court. DiBiase Jr. reportedly is currently scheduled to attend a pre-trial conference on December 13th before the Mississippi Southern District Court. DiBiase Jr.’s trial reportedly is currently scheduled to start on January 7, 2025.

Hyperfocus Games recently announced that an upcoming new DLC pack for their Ultra Pro Wrestling video game will be featuring NFL Hall of Famer and former WCW wrestler Steve “Mongo” McMichael joining the game’s playable roster.

Thursday’s Impact! show for TNA Wrestling featured WWE NXT talent Brinley Reece making a surprise appearance. Prior to Ash By Elegance’s match on the show, NXT Liaison Arianna Grace came out to the stage and revealed that Reece would be Elegance’s mystery opponent.

In a recent interview with the Tru Heel Heat podcast, TNA and indies talent Sami Callihan gave his thoughts about his current status with TNA and his future in the company. Callihan stated “I’ll be there for the foreseeable future. We came to an agreement on a deal and I’m extremely happy working for TNA. I could see myself retiring at TNA and working behind the scenes. I love TNA Wrestling. As much as people talk about, ‘I want to go to Japan, I want to work for WWE.’ TNA was always on a pedestal for me, and being part of that is a dream come true.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

The Chris Jericho Cruise recently announced three new matches for the card of their Chris Jericho Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise event on January 31 to February 4, 2025:
