Friday’s AEW Rampage show featured two new matches announced for the card of AEW WrestleDream 2024, which takes place on October 12th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
The first new match announced was a tag team match of MxM Collection (Mason Madden & Mansoor) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster).
This match was setup following a promo and brawl segment involving MxM Collection and The Acclaimed. As The Acclaimed came out and tried to make their way to the ring, MxM Collection ran out and attacked The Acclaimed laying them out. Mansoor grabbed a microphone and blamed The Acclaimed for ruining their Grand Slam Fashion Week Finale. Mansoor then challenged The Acclaimed to a match for WrestleDream and stated that they will be having a mystery person in their corner as a counter to Billy Gunn. Later in the show, this match was made official and announced to be taking place on WrestleDream 2024’s Zero Hour pre-show.

The second new match announced was a single match of Harley Cameron vs. Anna Jay.
This match was setup following backstage interview segments with Cameron and Jay. During Cameron’s interview segment, Cameron called out Jay for not helping The Outcasts at Tuesday’s Dynamite Title Tuesday 2024 show and challenged Jay to a match. During Jay’s interview segment, Jay responded to Cameron’s words and stated that they were never actual friends considering they only ever teamed up once and accepted Cameron’s challenge for a fight. Later in the show, this match was made official and also announced to be taking place on WrestleDream 2024’s Zero Hour pre-show.
