AEW creative writer Jimmy Jacobs reportedly recently departed from the company, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that Jacobs had “effectively resigned” from his position on AEW’s writing team some time in the past week.
Jacobs’ departure from AEW reportedly was stated to have been on “amicable terms” between the two sides and AEW officials currently is looking to use the chance as a way to “freshen up the writer’s room.”
In regards to the reason for Jacobs’ departure, it was reported that those spoken to stated that Jacobs had been feeling “burned out” in recent times.
Prior to his departure, Jacobs had been with AEW since June of 2023 primarily as a member of their creative team. Besides his creative writing duties, Jacobs also had wrestled in two matches for Ring of Honor. Jacobs’ previously worked as a creative writer for WWE and later TNA Wrestling.
