“Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury. Me being me, I’ve been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I’m cleared. I’m back. It’s already been put out in the internet world that I’m cleared. Time to pick up where I left off.”

In a recent interview with The Ringer’s Masked Man Show podcast, Will Ospreay gave his thoughts about his and Ricochet’s callback spot to their famous Best of the Super Juniors match in 2016 during their AEW International Championship match on the October 2nd AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show. Ospreay stated “I’m a lot older is the difference. Maybe a few beats slower than what I was, but a few beats slower than what I was is still faster than quite a lot of the guys in the world of wrestling. When I first locked up with Ricochet it was RevPro in 2013. I was an eager young man wanting to learn and be established. Everybody remembers the Super Juniors match in 2016. That was basically us being like, ‘You do you. I do me. Let’s hope we can produce magic in Korakuen Hall for that main event.’ We did just that. After that match, we had a few matches after that, but from there we went on our individual journeys. I’ve always paid homage to Ricochet and told him that without him, his helping and instructing, I don’t think my career would be what it is now. I’ve always wanted to scratch that itch, just to be like, ‘What does it look like now?’ because I don’t wrestle that way. Doing it this time around, that first beginning bit that we did, for me, it was like fan service. Play the beginning hits. The moment the superhero landing was done, it was time to be like, ‘Alright, let’s find out who is better.’ It was bomb after bomb after bomb, and we were going out there doing what we would do in any given circumstance if you put us in a big match scenarios.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent episode of the My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, co-host Jeff Jarrett gave his thoughts about Bryan Danielson’s loss to Jox Moxley for the AEW World Championship and the post-match beatdown by Moxley’s group to Danielson at this past Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2024 event. Jarrett stated “I’ve never felt, because you could feel a crowd, even if they’re not yelling, it was really, really emotional. For him to be heading in there as the champion, and to go out that way, the people in the arena, I don’t think they expected him to lose under any circumstance, being that [the show] was in his backyard, and just how that last scene felt. You could feel the emotion in the arena. I can’t ever remember a pay-per-view going off the air under those circumstances. It was an emotional night. WrestleDream I think will go down in history as really a unique, different, obviously bell-to-bell incredible wrestling, but the last half hour was about as emotionally charged as you could get for me because of my attachment with Bryan. More than an emotional attachment, the respect I have for him, his career, how he’s done it, the way he’s done it, you just don’t see that in 2024. It was just really, really emotional, but man, Mox and company [are] about as established…what a statement they made. There’s no doubt about that.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent interview with Stephanie Chase, Brody King gave his thoughts about Julia Hart joining the House of Black stable in 2023. King stated “Julia was this little cheerleader girl when we met her. She had an idea and she approached Malakai and was like, ‘I have this idea, what do you think about it?’ Malakai was like, ‘Why don’t you cut some promos? Why don’t you develop the character and bring it back to me and we’ll talk about it.’ That’s what she did. She went to work, came up with multiple promos, took the time on her own to book time with people shooting the promos, and really developed this character. She would ask me questions on, ‘Why this? why that?’ I started training with her as well and bring out a different side of her that wasn’t the bubbly cheerleader. She took to everything like a sponge. Character-wise and personality-wise, she is so far advanced for her years and wrestling and her age. She’s only 22 and she has the whole world ahead of her and she already has a big step up on it.” King also gave his thoughts about if he was surprised that Julia made the pitch to three imposing men. King stated “It was definitely surprising. It takes a lot of guts to go up to three scary grown men that you don’t know, ‘Hey, I have this idea. What do you think?’ That’s the kind of hunger and drive we need out of young people in AEW. To take that chance and risk. We didn’t even have approval from Tony (Khan) that this was going to happen. ‘Let’s make everything and then present it.’ Once it was presented, ‘Okay, this looks cool.’ I always call her my wrestling daughter. We go out to dinner once a week; me, my wife, her, and her husband. Whenever she has questions about wrestling or needs advice, we’re always here. We’ve taken her shopping to where she picked up the hat and was like, ‘I think this is cool.’ ‘You’re buying that.’ We bought her the hat and the rest is history.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
