Lio Rush Signed New AEW Contract
AEW held a digital exclusive backstage interview with Lio Rush during Saturday’s WrestleDream 2024 event in Tacoma, Washington. One of the topics discussed included Rush confirming that he recently signed a new official contract with AEW.
“This right here means a lot of people are getting put on notice. This officially means that I’m All Elite, that I’m back in AEW.”

Rush has been working for AEW since this past July and previously worked for the company from September of 2021 to February of 2022.
Queen Aminata vs. Mercedes Mone for TBS Title Announced for Oct. 16th AEW Dynamite Show
During Saturday’s WrestleDream 2024 event in Tacoma, Washington, AEW announced one new match for the card of this week’s AEW Dynamite show on October 16th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
This new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Queen Aminata vs. Mercedes Mone (c).

Kenny Omega Diverticulitis Injury & AEW Return Status Update – Kota Ibushi Says Omega Needs Another 2-3 Months Before Potential Return
As noted before, Kenny Omega has been out of action for AEW since this past January due to him suffering from diverticulitis and underwent surgery this past May for it.
Yuji Nagata recently posted a new video on his YouTube channel featuring Kota Ibushi as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ibushi providing an update on Omega’s recovery and potential return to the ring.
Ibushi stated that it’s going to take about two to three more months” before Omega will be able to make a potential in-ring return. Ibushi also stated that Omega wasn’t sure he would be able to return and that he still has trouble with certain things.
