Early Estimates for AEW WrestleDream 2024 PPV Buys
AEW reportedly is currently estimated to have generated around 106,000 to 107,000 pay-per-view buys for last Saturday’s WrestleDream 2024 event in Tacoma, Washington, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that WrestleDream’s current buys are around 1.6% higher than this past September’s All Out 2024 event. Meltzer reported that All Out 2024 event is currently estimated to have generated around 105,000 buys which would mean that WrestleDream 2024’s buys would be currently around 106,000 to 107,000 as a result.
Meltzer reported that unlike with past AEW events, the streaming numbers and estimates for WrestleDream 2024 are currently uncertain due to the event did not air on Bleacher Report and the service had previously accounted for the majority of AEW’s PPV buys for events. Meltzer also reported that another issue is Bleacher Report had been the one streaming company who reported buys numbers for events on their service basically instantly compared to other streaming PPV providers. One streaming service reportedly saw a boost in purchases following Bleacher Report not airing the event but it is currently not known if other PPV providers saw a similar increase.
